Anybody got any insight on who it could be? Obviously we are hopeful Meadows can be a stud WR1 but so can Wiley.

I would think it’s us or Georgia. Hopefully he visits for Alabama. I love the class but kind of unbelievable Cortez Hankton doesn’t have recruits begging to come here.

I completely agree with this. We don’t just have guys that ball out here, but go into the NFL and continue to be the top names at the position.

I find it odd that we don’t have to turn away elite guys wanting to come here because the room is so stacked.

A&M or Georgia. Lsu legacy too. How do we struggle to recruit legacy WRs?

I read legacy as elite player. I edited.

Would love him, but no receiver will matter until playcalling matters

All I keep hearing is that "receivers grow on trees in Louisiana." If that were actually true, why would we need to recruit him or Meadows?

It is a rare bad year for WR talent. I am sure the state will go back to being stacked in 26 and 27. One bad year does not indicate the state doesn't produce top talent at WR.

I am sure Wiley is riding high just visiting College Station but these kids are bipolar. Just get him on campus for the Alabama game and he's going to be blown away. Surely Cortez Hankton can convince a legacy to bring his son to an Alabama-LSU game.

Becuase there are good WRs in other states as well. Our 2 other WR commits are from New Orleans and Destrehan.

What is the scouting report on Taron Francis? You don't really hear much about him, but I am assuming if he's a take at LSU he's at least an elite athlete.

College ready physically. Just a really well rounded WR good at everything. I would say his route running is slightly his best attribute right now. Will be a good WR2.

Oh, I agree that Louisiana has produced great talent at the receiver position, but people just State it as a fact, like it will always be that way. Folks have said, "just take the top receivers out of Louisiana each year and we'll be fine."

I remember when Louisiana produced great quarterbacks - Terry Bradshaw, James Harris, Joe Ferguson, Norris Weese, Doug Williams, Bert Jones, Steve Ensminger, David Woodley, Stan Humphries, John Fourcade, Bubby Brister, Tommy Hodson - and then....it stopped for a very long time.

I'm not suggesting that the state will run dry of receivers for a long stretch, but mainly a response to that crazy thought that taking just Louisiana receivers will suffice. It's a silly opinion, but it's one held by some folks.

Sounds like he would be a good replacement for Daniels.

It would suffice if you accurately identified the top 3 wide receivers in LA every year, which is easier said than done.

Feels a little bit outta nowhere with Aggie. I wonder how hard we’re actually pushing for him. It would be weird if we didn’t but it’s been very quiet so makes me wonder.

we don't. There are Louisiana WRs that can replace him. Look at Lacy for example. Sure he has some drops, but this man wasnt anywhere near an offer from LSU, ans only had one power 5 offer.

Now as a 5th year player, he is on pace for 1005 yards and 10 TDs in 13 games. Pair that with a 3rd year player in Anderson who is one of those highly ranked Louisiana WRs, is on pace for 1000 yards and 7 TDs.

Now the TE and RB position are in the mix as well (370 2 TDs for TE1 and 205 yards and 2 TDs for RB1).

very underrated Louisiana WR. Will likely get snaps early if we lose more WRs than i think after the offseason.

Well I would say that's a plus for LSU. Aggies passing game leaves a lot tobe desired.

If we could somehow add Wiley and Stewart this class could rival or maybe end up better than the #1 2009 class that made up so much of the '11 defense as well as Reuben Randle, Chris Faulk, Michael Ford and Shep
