I really am suprised by this...Thought he was going to be the best DT in LA in the 09 class.

Doesn't look that way

He's a redshirt freshman and won't likely play until his sophmore year and get major playing time until his Sr. year.

It won't matter though because people will call him a bust because they don't understand that he's not the quick penetrating type of DT that Dorsey or Nevis are, he's a big body that allows those types to play like Favorite or Woods. It' takes all types to play defense and unfortunately his type is always underapprecitated and over ridiculed by fans who want him to win the Lombardi award because he was a five star.

I am not sure if we are thin a tackle. Maybe more inexperienced but certainly talented. I hope Davenport turns a corner though. Him along with MB90, Ego, JD77, Freak, and Logan could become great. I have read Logan is turning heads of late and JC Copeland and Lavar Edwards could move to DT next year.

I dont think were thin either but we need bigger guys at tackle...
Jordan Allen has been beefing up to make the switch (I look for him to be good), The freak will start, Brockers should start, those are your big two...

the two guys i look for are Ego,(who has been beefing up for the switch) and Jordan Allen, Logan is the sleeper.

davenport has a decsion to make, he played vs weak competion and was a man amongst boys, he has the "tools" but he has to grow up and want to do it...I think he has alot of upside and we need a couple of 6'3 300+lbs DT's

Downs is too small as well, they just get blown off the line when we play a Bama or Aubbie

Copeland is too small, he should stay at FB...

I think Lavar stays where he is, he's getting plenty of PT even with Sam and Adams..

Brockers, Logan, and Downs returning at DT. We better hope Freak is all that. Downs is a good fill in and great for passing downs but not an everydown DT yet. Who knows if Copeland moves back to DT.

I hope the light comes on for Davenport because we need a big body inside.

Daventport is a "catcher". He catches offensive lineman and does not play leverage like a man his size should.

hopefully ego can get to 300...
