How many players don't make grades that LSU recruits? Very, very few. You had Valentine last year and Avery Peterson a few years ago. Both ended up at LSU anyway.
LSU is as successful as anyone getting the guys they sign into school, despite the NCAA Clearinghouse issues.
This kid is raw but has huge upside. It is fine for him to sit a year. I doubt that LSU would take his commitment (or that other schools would have been after him the way they have) if he isn't going to make it into school.
This will go to the Clearinghouse and, as always, he will be held up. But, we get him in the end.
