Every year we get a surprise, wait and see who that is this year. I have faith in coaches to get it done

If I had my choice of 2 I would take Moore and Young over Ish and Pickering. Moore looks like he’s the most polished of the 4 technique-wise and Young is just a freak of a player physically. Not as much bad weight on those two compared to Ish and Pickering. Moore and Young will be more of the 290-300lbs prototype DE we want at LSU. Ish and Pickering would really be playing out of place as both those guys are interior players that should play closer to 325lbs.

Again, I don’t see all the hype in Pickering! I watched small 3A tackles handled him in 2 different games this year!

Preponderance of reasonable evidence and a couple posters with inside info.

Especially with '20 class being loaded at DL.

2019 can compete for championships with just one more very good lineman and one more very good olineman.

No need to wait.
Its going to be a solid team.

We'll find out again what type of recruiter O is by the results of these multiple visits coming up.

Don't we already know he's done very well this year?

People need to find things to complain about.

Is the class perfect? No, but it's really good and there's still time left to fill the hole or two that remain.

Pickering, Mom was not paid, his 1st cousin plays at MSU starts at safety. He has been visiting there since 8th grade. Moore was committed to MSU since 10 grade, 20 miles away.Horrible knee injury has not recovered totally so there are questions.Did not have a great senior year. Young is probably LSU best shot , he is legit. Ala, LSU, MSU.

He's absolutely done very well so far, and I'm not trying to be greedy.

We have two holes in our class, however...DE and OT. If we end with these holes in the class, it'll cost us games in the next 2-3 years. Just one loss can derail a season, as we all know.

I think he's got a great shot to reel in one of our DE targets, and we need to at least get Parker signed.

What frick up are you referring to? If we don't land these guys then it wasn't because he let off the gas with any of them. He's got visits from all of them way back and has been recruiting them since last year and further in some cases.

It looks like they're doing all they can to get them here to me? Some people will just never be happy unless we get 10 5*s. OT and DE is already looking real good in next years class and we have some young guys who will more than likely develop into great OTs of the future. We do need more but it's Ed Os second year and last year had the entire fanbase wanting him gone. That has an affect on his recruiting. Even though I think many of last years recruits will be excellent players.

Stop crying and just sit back and enjoy this bad arse class we have coming in the next two years because not many teams or programs can say they have a top 5 class 2/4 years which I think we will have agsin next year and top 7 class 3/4 years. No one knows how these kids will develop and if LSU doesn't have 4 legit OTs on the roster now that just need to develop. It would be great to get another OT or two and land 2 or 3 of these DLman but he's doing what he can do given the rhetoric last year and now bouncing back. I think what he's done and doing is pretty damn good and you don't know what will cost us a game or two lol. You have no clue.

Dude, nobody's crying but you...settle down.

I already addressed this in one of my last posts, above.

I don't expect 10 5-stars, but holes in classes are unacceptable. We've been doing this for like 8 years. I'm surprised your forgot. We can't go full cycles without taking multiple DL and OL...in this class, we're sorely lacking on DE's and OT's.

Yeah, I think Ed got played on Ish, if that's what's happening right now. And I know you can't tell me with any certainty all at that you didn't at least consider this too.

He has 2 weeks now...at least we didn't find out on NSD. It was RB two years ago, CB last year, and it's DE this year...and it's been OT for each of the last few cycles, too.

We lost the Troy game because of lack of DL.

We lost the UF game because of lack of OT;s.

We lost the Aggie game because of lack of CB's.

That's my point. What's your's? That you're too fragile for skepticism?

No you are crying. Please tell me what could have and been done differently? We're getting all the talent we can in LA at OL. It's not his fault that he doesn't have the momemtum at OT that some schools have. He's actively attempting to change that. We offered a ton of talented OTs last year and this year but they didn't commit/sign. He can't put a gun to their head. It looks like he will have to show them on the field and in drafts that he can sign and develop OTs. I honestly don't know what's going on at DE. Maybe all the early entries have hurt draft status and therefore the overall perception that we can't develop 1st round talent. Os past is proof that this is BS.

I think our DL in 2019 might change some of that perception. We haven't had holes at DE every year though. We signed 3 or more every season and a NT, plus Fehoko. We signed Wire, Charles, Traore and Rosenthal. If we don't get a couple this year then you could say there's a hole this year but then he can fill that with transfers or Juco which isn't the preferred method but he can still fill those holes.

They might feel like one or two of these OLman can play tackle? You don't know that. We do need another DE but I think he'll get it. Would it be nice to have highly rated tackles and DL in this class, yes it would but it is what it is. They trying to get them. They trying to open up a Cali pipeline to help. It's Creggs first year here. He was brought here to change this and that's the direction I see it going. Recruiting is a long term deal. If you're lucky you might have talent in your State but we haven't been at that OT position so we have to beat OOS schools for them while our fans trash our coaches and the media runs with it nationally.

We lost to both A&M and Florida bc we didnt have a pass rush and Chassion would have flipped both of those two games. Our OL was hurt all season and toward the end of the season played pretty well together and now have more developed depth to work with next year. The OL will be much different in 2019.
