CEO being honest with recruits parentsPosted by AmazinGrace

I noticed an interesting tidbit in the Derrick Davis Jr. article. He’s dad makes the comment that CEO told them early on before the season that the Tigers may struggle this year. He noted that we would be young and inexperienced. His parents like the look of our depth chart and noted that there’s a good chance we only have Hampton and Toles back next year if Harris leaves.

That's one of his biggest attributes. He typically is genuine with recruits.

Agreed, I think this is one thing that separates O from the pack - building genuine relationships based on honesty and trust. Love it!!

Absolutely this. It caught me off guard with the amount of transparency, and it seems its what paid dividends with relationship building to Derrick and his dad.
It also made me feel better about the season, as bad as its been, that our coaches were aware of what was coming. Hopefully this amazing class coming together, against last years will get us back to some dominant football.

Shea posted it on 247. It's behind the paywall

Makes his preseason statement about the D being better than at any point last year even more puzzling.

It's very obvious why the discrepancy. He's being honest with the recruit because he has to drop his pants eventually. He's lying to us because his job is to sell tickets.

Selling tickets at the cost of looking completely incompetent seems short-sighted.

Makes the “game” easier... if you don’t tell the lie to begin with then you don’t have to remember it or build on later. The old saying holds, “honesty is the best policy.”

We gonna be short a few scholarships next season so transfer might be the answer
Hope you realize that we likely will have trouble hitting 80 scholarships even with self sanctions.

Harris’s options are transfer portal or bench
More like a Shaq-pack.
