People wouldn't begrudge him his college choice so much if he hadn't decided to become such a drama queen about it, and string a program he supposedly loved so much along the whole way. People take it way too far, but if he didn't want negative attention, then he shouldn't have constantly BEGGED for attention, all the way up to his last visit to LSU.

For example, you don't see even a FRACTION of the negative comments about Allen here. Same position. Same hometown. But he committed to Bama and that was that. Other than his comment about preferring to sit the bench at a Bama and be developed than to play early here (which he has since backtracked on), he hasn't said anything that could be construed as derogatory toward LSU. People were upset that he decided to go to Bama, but people here didn't take it as personally, because he hasn't acted the same way that Moses has through the whole process.
