In just his second recruiting cycle he has completely flipped our roster from being undermanned with holes and quality issues everywhere to what looks to be championship quality depth at every position. He and the staff are giving a masterclass on roster management in this portal era.

He’s done a great job of recruiting HS talent while filling gos as he goes.

There have been some huge portal gets. I still Don’t think Wingo is hyped enough.

We need another ILB and olineman, but im not worried about it. im confident we will land perfect fits there to create more depth. Everyone talks about Lane, but Kelly identifies talent and character.

I'm very happy with Brian Kelly and the staff. That said, we share a conference with Bama and UGA, so it's tough sledding right now to win the SEC, aka win a national championship.

I think Bama will fade in the coming years. Was bound to happen.

Also, a 12-team playoff changes the landscape because of the accessibility LSU will have. Hell, even a 9-3 campaign that has the right backend performance could land you in the conversation.

Basically, be in the top 3 of the SEC and you'll be "competing for championships".

It kind of seems that he has done this a time or two before
