Can someone in the know, make a similar list to the one that's stickied? a "players to watch" list, if you will.

I realize there already is one at the top of the page, but it doesn't get updated very often. I mean i haven't heard anything on the 5 star corner and he's under "players to watch" so I'm not even sure if he's worth keeping an eye on.

Maybe if someone can make a new thread on who to watch and the likely hood of getting them then we can get it stickied.

I guess I didn't explain what I meant well enough
.don worry about it, I just thought it would be easy to say, these are all of the prospects that are takes, and here's there rankings and here's the competition for there services and probability, at this time.

That's asking alot to get voltiger or whoever to do a list like that.

I know that it would be appreciated by many people if it were done ,and it should receive a sticky in that event.

Myself and a couple of others tried at the beginning of the cycle to make a list similar to the Bama recruiting thread but the admins refused to sticky it instead choosing the be list we currently have.

I’ll give you a quick outlook here

- 5 star Zachary Evans RB (Take) high chance we get him
- 4 star Phillip Webb OLB (take) very good chance we get him
- 4 star Marcus Dumervil OT (take) very high chance we get him
- 4 star Ty’Kieast Crawford OT (take likely only if we miss on Dumervil) Low chance We take him
- 4 star Devon Achane RB (not a take) unless drastic changes
- 4 star Edgerrin Cooper ILB (not a take) would be a tough flip anyways
- 3 star Xavier Hill OG (take) likely in the class
- 5 star Jordan Burch DE (take) in 2nd behind Clemson with work to do
- 4 star McKinnley Jackson DT (not a take unless drastic changes)

I don’t believe you here... I believe he is an absolute take if his grades are in order. And that has nothing to do with if we get Dumervil.

Why would XH be a take over Crawford?

Potential Class Additions:

Zachary Evans
5 Star RB from Houston (Northshore HS).
#1 rated RB, #9 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama
Timetable: Unclear
Rumored to be a silent commit (Vol/EXPLAYER)
Shea Dixon & Bill Embody have CB’d him to LSU
Georgia’s 247 guy and some Texas and Aggie guys have all CB’d him to LSU
Attends same HS as K'Lavon and Eric Monroe, which is a known LSU pipeline in the Houston area

Jordan Burch
5 Star DE from South Carolina
#1 rated DE, #2 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama
Timetable:
Long assumed to be a Clemson signee, his interest in LSU has heated up considerably.
No CBs for LSU (yet)
Visited LSU for the Auburn game
Visited Bama for our beatdown of them on November 9
Supposedly his Mom really likes Orgeron
Gerry Hamilton mentioned LSU as a strong possibility in an interview on ESPNU radio on November 13

Phillip Webb
4 Star OLB from Buford, GA
#5 rated OLB, #38 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Auburn, Oklahoma, Alabama
Timetable: Has not provided a timetable but says once he commits, he will shut things down
Visited Bama for our beatdown of them on November 9
Visiting Florida at the end of November

Marcus Dumervil
4 Star OT from Florida
#11 rated OT, #96 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Florida
Timetable:
Teammate of LSU commit Marlon Martinez (OG)
Five CB’s for him, all to LSU

Ty’Kiest Crawford
4 Star OT from Carthage, Texas
#19 rated OT, #193 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Unclear
Timetable:
Former Arkansas commit, only school he has officially visited is Arkansas
Has visited LSU unofficially several times

Xavier Hill
3 Star OG
#24 rated OG, #461 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Miss State, Alabama, Tennessee
Timetable:
Recently de-committed from Alabama
Visits Miss State on December 14
Cregg and Orgeron visited Hill during our bye week
Visited LSU in May
Was once viewed as a grade risk but latest CW is that he’ll qualify
Vol discussed him as a grade risk on his “Class Finish” thread, saying last he heard he was on the bubble
Vol also seemed to suggest he was more likely if we miss on Ty’Kiest Crawford
Most insiders think he will waste his college years in Starkville

Less Likely Class Additions But Keep Watch:

Devone Achane
4 Star RB
#6 rated APB, #220 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Texas A&M
Timetable:
Rescheduled his official visit, which was supposed to happen during the bye week
Being recruited to play football and run track
Nearly all CBs are for the Aggies

McKinnley Jackson
4 Star DT from Mississippi
#10 rated DT, #114 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Timetable: Appears to be waiting until February which may give us a chance to consider him if we have some surprises on ESD
Visits Auburn on December 14 (right before ESD so does he shut it down then?)
Visiting LSU on January 17, Ole Miss on January 24 and Aggie on January 31

Jahmyr Gibbs
4 Star RB from Dalton, Georgia
#22 rated RB, #298 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Georgia Tech (Committed), Alabama
Timetable: Like McKinnley Jackson, he could wait until February which may be good for us since we will have a feel for Evans and Achane
Visits Alabama on December 14
Made an unofficial visit to LSU in October
Unofficially visited Alabama for our beatdown of them on November 9
Also visiting Alabama on November 23 unofficially
Has blown up as a senior

Edgerrin Cooper
4 Star MLB from Covington, Louisiana
#24 rated OLB (he’s really a Mike), #333 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Oklahoma (Committed), Miss State
Timetable: Another player who could wait until February
We already have two inside LBs committed

Sedrick Van Pran
4 Star Center from New Orleans
#3 rated C, #103 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Georgia (Committed)
Timetable:
Seems like he just wants to leave Louisiana, which is a damn shame because we want him bad and he plays a position of need.

DJ Uiagalelei
5 Star QB
#1 rated QB, #13 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Clemson (Committed)
Timetable:
LSU continues to talk to him
Family came to LSU for a visit without him during the Auburn game because Clemson doesn’t allow commits to visit elsewhere
Vol and EXPLAYER have hinted that this is in play, but perhaps they are overly optimistic
EXPLAYER also suggested that DJ is the only QB we’re still recruiting (other than the two commits we already have)
Younger brother is supposed to be a player too
The 247 guys don’t think we have any shot
Seems like a real longshot

Demond Demas
5 Star WR from Houston
#2 rated WR, #15 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Texas A&M (Committed)
Freakish athlete has been solid to the Aggies
Some rumor that he has reached out to the staff
With A&M being an absolute grease fire, he may have awoken to the fact that he’ll play three uneventful years in College Station with no championship aspirations.

Demouy Kennedy
4 Star ILB
#3 rated ILB, #49 overall
Other Teams Considering: Alabama (Committed), Auburn
Rumored to be visiting for the A&M game
Recently posted on Twitter “I will be attending the university of Alabama!!! RTR #NoMatterWhat”

Bijan Robinson
5 Star RB from Tucson, Arizona
#2 rated RB, #16 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Texas (Committed), Ohio State
Timetable:
Robinson recently had a very strange article come out in The Athletic (one-on-one interview) where he seemed to say that he was both completely committed to Texas but also open to LSU and Ohio State.

Flip Risks?

Rakim Jarrett
5 Star WR from DC
#3 rated WR, #19 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Alabama
Timetable:
Rumor is that he is enamored with the thought of playing with Bryce Young at Alabama
Visited the Tide with Kayshon Boutte in October
EXPLAYER called these rumors nonsense and said he is “Tattoo Committed”
RadarTiger also has stated that Jarret is solid in his commitment
Seems like all of the national guys were so shocked that he committed that they just expect him to go elsewhere

Demon Clowney
4 Star WDE from Baltimore, MD
#7 rated WDE, #123 overall player
Other Teams Considering: Georgia, Maryland, Clemson
Has been committed to LSU for nearly 8 months but has reportedly been very non-responsive to the staff
Redfieldk717 indicated that “he hasn’t been very good this year and people are cooling in him. I understand he is highly rated but that’s just what I heard.”
Cadello has seen him play and thought he looked good.

I remember. It’d be nice to have a mega-thread where posters could post thoughts on prospects, share highlights, etc. Not everything deserves its own thread.

Well that’s very specific

Good job on doing this.
I posted on the thread earlier, I saw Clowney play twice and he looked good.
Coaches have way more insight to what recruits they want at this point.
We don’t have to play games with any recruits this year because there are so many quality recruits still out there that are considering LSU.

Under Evans, you can add Northshore HS has a strong LSU connection (staff and current Tigers: K’LC & Monroe).

GREAT work by the way.

For Webb (just info, no need for update):

GA has been very accommodating to LSU as far as linebackers over the years. Tyler Taylor was from the same HS as Webb. And all the recent Long Snappers (Ferguson brothers & Skinner) are from Buford, but a different HS apparently.
