Are the rules different ? Can they do in home visits or only interact on campus ? Neither ?

Educate me, please.

Analysts cannot recruit outside campus. They can make phone calls and texts but cannot physically make contact with recruits off campus.

And on campus contact is permissible, correct?

I think I have read articles discussing an analyst interacting with a recruit...I think.

ETA- not the best question. I’m sure on campus is fine.
I was mostly just curious about rules around analyst.

Thanks for the enlightenment!

There not allowed to coach the players already on the team, or incoming freshman either.

I think they can have meetings in the facility with players, like the guy that watched film with burrow.
Munoz was the guy that helped Joe. I assume it's legal in the facility, because if it wasn't allowed, we damn sure didn't try to hide it. Like at the Heisman ceremony, think burrow acknowledged him. I doubt he would have done that if the rule extended to inside facility, as well

My thoughts, as well...that’s what was on my mind prior to my edit.

On campus only unless they get a waiver for coaches leaving

Yea, that’s just not true.

I don’t know what the actual rule is, but it’s completely ignored.

These positions have morphed into regular coaches. Munoz had a headset during games and was talking to players as they came off the field.

If you don’t think that is coaching players, we have different definitions.

Yeah it's definitely done. Everyone remembers Butch Jones on the sidelines coaching for Bama in the national title game on live tv last season. Don't know what the restrictions are per se but in all reality it seems the only true limit is off campus recruiting.

Yeah it probably cost Bama 6 or 7 points.
