What baffles me is why announce for Bama and subject yourself to being treated like shite everywhere you go or play your Senior year? Collins didn't do that, neither did McKnight. He could tell the LSU coaches privately if he's trying to be "fair."

I said it would not be instant, but would ultimately lead to his demise. I truly believe that without a doubt. If Miles lost the top two players in the nation to Bama and Bama won 4 out of 5, for the first time he would be truly be in the hot seat.

Is it better to have him commit to Bama Friday and be (very pleasantly) surprised if he switches to LSU, or have him commit to LSU Friday and sweat it out until NSD?
I can't see anything short of a signature being much comfort even if there's a verbal to LSU this week.
