OU would disown him? I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of LSU fans disowning Cam but then jumping up and down when an out of state player commits to LSU.

, JJ27 Are you smoking crack?? You show me one major universities fan base that doesn't bitch when they lose the number one player in the nation to an out of state school much less their hated rival, and I will show you a fan base with no school pride. That is the way this is. It is called both state and school pride and I for one am busting out the seems with it.

I don't wish CRob ill or anything like that if he chooses Bama, and I don't wish him harm. But I am certainly not going to wish him success on the football field, because that is the battlefield and I am definitely not pulling for the enemy on the battlefield. It is literally that simple!!! Hey he has to make his own choices in life and live with them, but we as LSU alum and fans don't have to agree with his choice or like his choice. All we have to accept it because it is his decision.

I am tired of people saying, we pull OOS players and we are hypocrites for bitching when someone pulls our players from out of our great state and university. I say bullsh*t on that. It is called state and university pride, and the schools fan base that doesn't bitch when they lose that kind of recruit to the enemy I feel sorry for them because their university must really suck. I am an alum of LSU and believe me when I tell you this my years at the school did not suck!!!

So f*ck anyone that doesn't think I have the right to b*tch and be upset when I see a native son of Louisiana turn his back on our state and our beloved university. All I have to do is accept his decision, I don't have to like it or agree with it which I don't if he chooses any other school other than LSU.

If we sucked as a football team, or didn't win national and sec titles or he couldn't make it to the NFL out of LSU then I might have more compassion. But since none of that is true, to hell with him if he chooses the Gumps he is dead to me and nothing but TIGA-BAIT

JJ27 - I agree with you there that is BS, but honestly if he chooses Bama I don't wish him any success. Sorry just how I feel

Correct... I wish him success as a brain surgeon, a public defender, a nuclear physicist, an environmental scientist, a cancer researcher... but I hope he's an abysmal failure as a football player. Football is a game, and a zero sum game as far as I'm concerned... I don't root for my opponent when I play Scrabble or Chess, and it's silly to pretend we wish him success beforehand when every week we'll be rooting for Bama to lose.

What is "I don't take football in context" for $1000, Alex?

From that statement it is plainly obvious you have never played tackle football for your school or at any level, I have. And anyone who has will tell you the same thing, it was war when you got onto that field, plain out war. All you have to do is be on the bottom of a pile recovering a fumble, eyes gouged at, fingers bent back trying to pry them off the ball, nuts grabbed at. Yep it is WAR plain and simple. So yes the best way to describe it for everyone that has not played the game it is war and that is the battlefield. And for everyone that has played the game at a higher level than pop warner or pee wee football, they know exactly what I mean.

Gonna be tiger true or tiger bait. It's really that simple. The noise about what we wish for him in life versus football doesn't matter. He's either with us or against us.

frankly for a kid the grew up an LSU fan to decide to go to Bama reeks of some underhanded recruiting.

Most fans feel a little of this any time a player commits to their team's "rival", but LSU fans take it to another level. No Bama fans thought there was underhanded recruiting from LSU with Kwon Alexander - a life long Bama fan. I know he had a greyshirt offer, but we knew he was not going to Bama from about September on - before the offer became greyshirt.

Bottom line is these are kids and most posters in here are grown men. Act like it.
