Well, LSU wins at UF if Kevin Minter isn't hurt and out of the game on that bull-rush to TD on one drive by UF. So, yes..it was not simply the LT

Bama? fricking Mett had his BEST passing game that day. So, LT did okay. Hell. Make a tackle on that screen pass and LSU wins...so, no. Not just the LT

That is my point, it is pieces to the puzzle one player doesn't win you the title but can cost you the title. So if Minter was in do we win the game? And just think if Faulk is not hurt for the UF game, maybe we are able to run the damn ball and maybe that opens up the passing game etc.... There is no way anyone can say that Faulk "a projected All-American" going down did not hurt LSU's offense and possibly make our offensive line less productive.

My big issue with this announcement if he goes to Bama it's kinda embarrassing to LSU on national TV. I will say though I'm glad he's getting it out the way. So, I respect that in the Robinson family.

No need to string LSU along if you have no intentions at seriously listening to them. Can't blame him for picking Bama if that's where he wants to go. Couldn't go wrong with either program.

That makes no sense. If Minter NEVER came to LSU...then LSU would have recruited some other dude to play there.

Same as Cam Rob. If we are going to go where you did...then it would require Cam Rob to be on the LSU team and then get injured. Thus, his being out of the game "costing" us.

I live in West Monroe and have literally asked over 20 WM fans if they had heard anything. Almost every single person has said that they just assumed he was going to LSU, then after talking to them for about 30 sec it becomes apparent that they haven't spent a got damn second of their lives following recruiting sorry, i tried

Are you freaking kidding me, so one player is no better than the other player. It is not that LSU wouldn't have recruited someone else to replace MInter it is who was the last MLB for LSU that racked up 130tackles in a season, 15TOL and 4 sacks. Minter made a difference and not having Minter in the game at the right time "you said yourself" cost us one game "UF." So plug in anyone else into Auburn at QB other than Newton and they win the title? Probably not. No, one player can make a difference and get you over the hump so to speak and help you win a title.

Also understand when you are ranked in the top 3 in the nation, and at least one service has him as #1, that means this recruit is a difference maker, that means that recruit is a really special recruit. He is expected to contribute and start as a freshman, be a multi year All American and play on Sundays. Those are not a dime a dozen. And LT is an extremely important "and most experts say most important" position on the OL and on the team. Getting a talent like CRob can help you win titles, if you don't think that then you are in stark contrast with the college coaches that are recruiting him.

I don't think anyone is saying we won't get other talent and I don't think anyone is saying LSU football will end as we know it if CRob doesn't go to LSU. But having CRob "from what all the experts are saying" is a difference maker and a special recruit. Having a player like CRob can definitely help you win a title.

Also I don't think anyone is saying we should get every in-state recruit, that is not possible. But this is one we really, really want and can make a difference. These are the lay-ups that you are looking for and unfortunately it looks like we are going to miss one, which will suck. And that can't be denied, this will suck if CRob does end up going to Bama.

Not sure what you want.

i have said repeatedly that I WANT Cam Rob at LSU.

But, if he chooses to go elsewhere...I am confident that LSU can overcome the blow and win anyway.

JEEBUS!

It is not as if mt gnashing my teeth will change his destination.

I want him. I'm just not sweating him.

And, that goes for any other player. LSU gets great recruits. I'll cheer like hell for them.

I'll just bet that in three years NO ONE will say "LSU would have won the NC if only they had landed Ca Rob" Its my opinion.
