Expecting more commitments be the end of July.

I expect that by now the mid/upper level guys are getting antsy as they see teams filling up spots and will be ready to pop a commitment before the season starts.

Awesome class, but you’re turning a blind eye to the shite show that happened on signing day.
Lol no I’m not. We landed a top 5 player in the country at DT on signing day and several 4*s. You just can’t look at the big picture.

quote:

We lost several good players to Alabama
We lost 4* Jojo Earle and then landed 4* Brian Thomas Jr and 4* Malik Nabors.

We lost 4* Keanu Koht and landed 4* Bryce Langston

quote:

Our classes are awesome, but every year they have the potential to be extraordinary, and we fumble it. It’s just a fact.
You don’t know what a fact is, I kid out the facts for you already. We closed strong. Lost a couple of kids and landed a couple of kids.

Out of the 120+ FBS teams in the country we finished 3rd

That’s outstanding. You just can’t seem to come to grips with that for some reason.

You know this place is jacked up when Lester is the voice of reason.

I upvoted as well, cuz he's 100% correct.

I agree with you mostly, the only thing you can’t put in a sentence is FACTUAL & OPINION, opinions are only factual in your mind before it happens, it’s not facts until it is. We got a while to go, this recruiting deal is a marathon not a sprint. O has shown more times than not he can last, it’s only the misses that stand out.

You know, I remember a time not so long ago that we got mostly crap at the QB spot. O went out and got Burrow and it has completely change the trajectory of that position at LSU. I would even argue it change the trajectory of other positions, for the positive as well. Now if we could close on some top end OT’s we will be killing it and that seems to be happening as we have Campbell in this class. It wasn’t to long age that a kid like that would be suiting up for the Gumps. I would just shut my mouth on the recruiting abilities of this staff for now.

We did close strong, could have closed stronger. Always room for improvement.

My biggest issue is processing kids for the big fish that we have a silent from, then not landing the big fish.

The fact that everything you said had nothing to do with my post is impressive. O-line should be good this class, but it should have been a priority last class, and we didn’t do too well in that department.

Never said our recruiting is bad. In fact, I said it was an awesome class. I’m telling you where we can improve.

Not salty about any of them. Luckily Major Burns came back to us. Just doesn’t make sense to process someone for a person you don’t get

If the better player tells you he is coming to lsu, why wouldn’t you trust him

Or do you think they are just blindly cutting kids

Are you jazzed up for classes with 5/7 months to go until signing day?

You are an SMU fan critiquing LSU recruiting? LSU has finished in the Top 5 classes 3 or 4 years in a row and is a perennial Top 10 recruiting Program. SMU? LOL.

SMU's class is currently ranked #50. LSU's class is currently #4. I think your concern regarding recruiting is misplaced. Go focus on your broke-dick Ponies.

Even tho I agree with what ur saying…ur still on auto downvote

ETA: edited to clarify I agree with that it’s early in the process. Rarely does a team start at 1 and end at 25 and vice versa. We’re near the top now, we’ll be near the top in the end…pieces may move, rankings may shuffle but we’ll be in the hunt at the end.

I hated losing JoJo Earle and that Im afraid will come back to haunt us, I believe he will be an instant impact playmaker. I thought he was 100 and that took me by surprise, he will be stat sheet maker

LSU just signed maybe the best WR haul in their history. I think they’ll be gucci

Complain about OL & maybe DE sure. WR, nope

I think the same about Earle but WR is a dime a dozen position. Losing Leigh hurt 2x as much.

God forbid we start hearing about those “silent recruits” come February. I think O has finally learned and seems to be molding a very solid class. It helps we have a lot of commits that are personally involved in recruiting.

Agreed. Oline was piss poor and the coach was replaced.

Here’s my issue with your logic- do you want the big fish or not?

Unfortunately some times you have to take a chance and these kids hold out and they lie.

fricking Zach Evans and Tristan Leigh committed to 3 different schools each.

Unfortunately it’s the name of the game.

My problem is with people getting pisswd about this class that has monsters everywhere but it’s not sexy enough because they’re not new and shiny.
