Right now they have more. After this year's draft, Bama will...

Are you retarded?
Bama's staff and our staff are set defensively

Bro, arguably? Are you serious? After this year, he will have more titles than Bear. Arguably?

It still shows instability as a program regardless of what side of the ball it is. You act like offense doesn't impact defense and vice versa.

Early Enrollees are backcounted, meaning the guys coming in Jan get counted towards the previous class. This is a loophole used by every school, its why Tenn was able to sign 33+ kids for the first 3 seasons Butch was there. Once the signing limit was started, and the loophole was discovered, each school is basically including 5+ kids on each class, as long as you keep your number under 85 schollys once the season rolls around youre good.

This decision was hard to make, but I will pursue my degree and compete for a national championship with the Alabama Crimson Tide. I just want everyone to understand how hard this decision was to make. Without having a complete coaching staff ready to roll, my family and I made the decision to sign with Alabama. Thanks for supporting my decision. Geaux Tigers."
Good luck in the future but I don't think anyone at LSU is supporting your decision !

I didn't specify college. Belichick would have an argument. But I'd be ok with your assessment.

I don't think he is anywhere close to being "agueably the greatest HC in football". Who couldn';t have done AT LEAST as much with the talent he has had to work with. I think even Miles with Cam wins the NC every year with that talent to work with. How he doesn't win the NC every year is really the mystery.(how does he manage that?) He is however by far the greatest recruiter in the history of football without a doubt. No one else is even in the same universe with him in that category.

Fair enough. Don't you have to factor recruiting into a college coach's collective binder of greatness? Isn't recruiting a huge factor?

that wouldn't be possible to do. You can only count back to the previous years class. How ever many you were short of 25 the previous recruiting cycle. for example if you signed 23 in the 2016 class you would be able to sign 27 in the 2017 class (you would have to have 2 early entries.) As many as you want can commit but on signing day you can only sign 28 (if you have room to count 3 back to the previous years class)

for a college coach recruiting is the #1 priority. But I WAS JUST TALKING ABOPUT ACTUAL COACHING NOT RECRUITING. (sorry hit cap lock key by accident)

I'm so fricking sick of hearing these recruits making excuses. Just be a man and say you wanted to go to Alabama. It's like Moses saying if Miles would be here still he would be committed to LSU or them saying it's a business decision going to Alabama. Give me a fricking break!

You're talking about tactics and strategy. I'd include recruiting and player evaluation.
I don't recall Saban as a DC. It'd be interesting to see how the Browns ranked in those days. I'm not old enough to remember him as a position coach.

Uses the line they don't have a full coaching staff then chooses a school that is looking for an OC as well. Lame excuse but I can't blame a recruit for going to Bama. Till we beat them we will continue to lose some of the best in state talent.

Can't be true, O is gonna get everyone

Mr. Buggs.... no one here in your former "home state" supports your ego driven decision in the least. I actually hope you ride the bench behind the other 10 "stars" just like you that they signed in the last 3 years and the 4 more that Satan will sign next year. You do know he signs some of you just to keep you away from LSU and playing time....right?
Stupid business decision going to a school with an incomplete staff like that....
Whatever.

Going to Bama isn't the easy way out. You have to earn your spot on that squad and can easily be left hanging out to dry if you don't perform.
This line of thinking is like saying someone should work for a shittier company because working for the best company is taking the easy way out. That's dumb.
The premise is that the guy has a connection to LSU (his own words), and is a tireless worker who outworks everyone...yet he wants Alabama because Alabama gives him a chance to win championships.
That's pretty much the definition of wanting something handed to you. LSU is a legit upper tier SEC school. Taking the harder road apparently isn't what he wants.
And, that's fine, but I don't think it makes sense to characterize him as a guy who is willing to work harder for what he gets. He's absolutely running from that.

I'm not talking about player evaluation, I'm talking about strictly recruiting. Player evaluation really doesn't come into effect when you are recruiting the level talent he can get. It comes more into to play with low 4 star and below level talent. Do you really think you have to do a player evaluation of Dylan Moses? no you don't. But you do have to do a player evaluation of that Rice guy we got at LB.
