Can we ban these f'n worry-warts?
Portnoy is not paying 3m per year, more like 1m per year for a UM QB.

If this is true, I wonder how Portnoy's pledge affects the situation.
It doesn’t. Underwood wants to play in the SEC and wants to play for Joe Sloan.

I have to believe LSU is compensating BU and family fairly well. Maybee
not 3 mil but close to 1 mil.The great thing about him is that he is looking toward his future in the NFL more than what he can get now.

I won’t be excited about Underwood until he actually signs.

You may as well wait until he's named starter. Walker Howard was the heir apparent 2 years ago.

No, JD could get first down at will, we had to punt against a low quality team. Nuss is not it, he is one dimensional at best. He gets excellent protection and end up throwing the ball to nobody on his hills.
He’s a top 5-10 QB in several key statistics right now. You are a fricking idiot. God this fanbase is ridiculous.

Howard slipped from 5 stars for a reason. He was a very good recruit, but he was also down the list at Elite 11 after the end of his senior season. However, Howard had been an 5*, he was a legacy, and we needed him, Campbell, Jones and Perkins to fill out that small salvage class for Kelly just a few weeks after he took the job. It was a big deal at the time.
Nothing is certain, but Underwood is by far and away the top QB in this class. He and Howard aren’t comparable as recruits.

He very well could win a heisman here
2 Heisman winners in 5 years is pretty bad arse honestly
Then they played each other on MNF. The message to all recruits was basically, if you play at LSU and you’re good… you will be just fine.
I don’t think anyone should be worried about NIL anymore. LSU seems to be casting a wider net to not so rich, but well off donors. As opposed to depending on the same Uber wealthy guys who are eventually going to get tired of paying boatloads to 17 year olds who may or may not pan out. Ole Miss is doing the same.

None of those QBs are worth what they are listed.
Its a case of each team bidding more to make the other guy use up more of their $$$.
The only winner is the average QB who by default gets more even though they are not that good.
The model is broken. It will cause mass regulation by some agency outside the NCAA.

Also, it's not like true freshman QBs aren't dipping their toes in the SEC right now. Oklahoma and UF have dabbled out of necessity. None of them are comparable to Bryce. Jalen Hurts did it as a true freshman (65% 2600 pass yards 22 TD 9 int, 840 rush yards 12 TDs first 13 games). Bo Nix did it as a true freshman (58% 2540 pass yards 16 TD 6 int, 310 rush yards 7 TDs).

Serious question, how do you know this?

He would have come out by now and laid to rest this speculation. the fact that he has not, means he is listening. Its quite possible he signs with Michigan. Lets monitor his visits

Only school he has been to since he committed has been LSU. Obviously anything is possible in recruiting but I think it’s highly unlikely he is not in the class.

I hope I’m wrong but idk how you turn down 4million at 17years old

If you don't know the answer to this by now I don't know what to tell you.

Michigan is at Les Miles levels of waisting QB talent.
