So, I guess those rumors about Randle's dad not liking LSU are true

again, he's gotten sloppy at the end with this recruitment. As well as they have dealt with whole process, it's weird that he flips out towards the end.
Dad wants his 15 minutes.

If his son is good enough, he will play...must not have very much confidence in his sons ability

If you are referring to me, no.

Another thing, DB has been signed with LSU for TWO YEARS. He went to the SAME HS as RR!!!! Did his dad just get out of cryogenic freezing?

Said Bradshaw and his father had somewhat of a falling out because Bradshaw wants him to go to LSU.

Questions

What might be Dad's problem with LSU. Old feelings or problems with current staff?

Could Dad be expecting Reuben to go pro early, and doesn't want to wait the extra year? With multiple upperclassmen, it will cut into his PT his first year. This may explain the Benton contingency. I know OU and Ala both have returners, but not like LSU. OU has a proven(understatement) QB. One year with a returning Heisman would do wonders for his development and his exposure. Plus, what if Bradford wants to try for THREE Heismans, or to win the elusive NC.

I fear the OU option is Dad's choice. I'm not sure I wouldn't agree with his logic, as much as it hurts. But, there are other factors in play that Dad doesn't FEEL. I hope the heart wins out.

It sounds like another Pratt issue. Last second problem that doesn't make sense.

If the dad is causing problems its sad, its pathetic when any parent causes problems like this...

Parents just need to give their advice then step aside and let the kids make their decisions that is going to make them the most happy...

the parent should just be concern in the end their kids happiness...

In case anyone is interested in, Rivals released their final predictions before NSD (it's all free, so don't get on me for posting premium info ), and only one of the "experts" has Randle to OK. The rest have him going to LSU.

I agree, seems odd and not so likely.

Also, if his dad was disrupting something so he'd go to LSU we wouldn't be bitching.

I think Mr. Randle was under the assumption that Benton would play this year ( i guess ) and said it was Miles fault for lying to him.
For the way this family acted throughout the process with that much class, its hard to believe that was said and the end result.
I think there is something else going on here.
Rueben isnt afraid of competition and I'd be willing to bet my paycheck on that.
Rueben will start here and Rueben will get all the PT he wants here.
Miles basically made a plea for Rueben on the news last night in a round about way.
If i was the Randle's i would feel comfortable with Miles watching over my son.
Thats why I cant understand the 'lying' part..Miles has been a class act since coming to BR and i stand behind Miles until he proves anything other than trustworthy.

It's kind of funny - someone else posted it earlier, but I find it hard to believe that Miles would be the most dishonest coach if you put Stoops, Saban, and Miles in a room.

If he goes to Oklahoma, he will end up not winning BCS games.

OU would need to win a bowl game to win the "elusive" NC! If RR goes to OU, he must not be concerned about winning a MNC or a bowl game because OU can't do either IMHO...

+1. While I think Miles is a few fries short of a happy meal when it comes to playcalling, he seems like a genuine guy. Hell, one of the reasons I was so pissed off this year is that it seemed like he wouldn't come down hard enough on his guys!

The way he says it the only obstacle for RR to come to LSU is his father. I have a bad feeling that it'll be OU. I'd hate to see that because while his prospect as a WR to the NFL won't be hurt any but I doubt OU will win any NC's anytime soon. SEC is where the best players play for NC's. I hope he realizes this.

From everything I've gathered, his dad isn't anti-LSU. His dad seems to like OU, but he's not going to force his son to make a decision he doesn't want.
