Briston Guidry just received an offer from LSU. Former Miss State commit, he has multiple SEC school offers.

So no response other than a down vote Lester? Guess I hit a Raider nerve...sorry.
Again..I'm curious how Rummel has been "good" to LSU in football. Who are all the Raider players that have contributed to LSU football?

DT is gonna very interesting in the 16 class. Think we take 4 but which 4 and how they fit with each other and their thoughts on being in such a big class is the interesting part.

Alexander-have to take him and think we get him but does he want to be in a large DT class?

Lawrence-huge want but I feel he's the big fish at the position that we don't land. He is very open to leaving and may even be leaning that way. All the usual suspects but watch Oregon. Family ties

Logan-has an offer and I like him. Think if we push we land him but where is he on the board?

Guidry-the last to get an offer as expected. Good prospect but probably last in this list. Do we press ?

Oliver-all about LSU and we can land him but the numbers may weigh against us. Gonna be a fight with Texas and TAM.

Jones-honestly my least favorite of the group but everyone is in love with him because he looks like the hulk. Honestly need to see his Jr film to see if he's improved. Texas is gonna be the competition but we lead now. Does class size matter and do we really stay on him?

Not to mention others we will get in on.

My guess right now for the 4
Alexander
Oliver
Logan
Guidry
Would take it all day but if we can sneak a 5th or replace Logan/Guidry with Lawrence it would be great. Now hire O and get them

lol i didnt downvote your post. I dont think LSU has lost out on a kid they wanted from Rummel since Bennie Mills in 2000 (Florida)

Derron Parquet, Garret Wibel, Nick Child, the Steltz brothers, PJ Longeran are some big time recruits they've pulled, along with several walkons

the steltz's are about as good as you can do for a school.

Nick was a great athlete, Steltz always had it though. Id say Steltz was arguably the better HS player but i dont think he projected to be better in college.

He seemed pretty high on Arkansas prior to his LSU offer but that's most likely due to two recent Rummel players on our team. Both will most likely be starters next year and they've both been recruiting him. If he doesn't go to LSU, which I imagine he will, then I would guess he'll be a Hog.

Child was a very good player but Craig Steltz dominated HS games while at Rummel.

He might have been Rummel's leading rusher his senior yr even though he had very limited # of carries while being a full time safety. His ypc that year was ridiculous.

Pretty sure both were 4* recruits FWIW
