Brennan was not recruited for this offense. In fact he was an old regime QB and they didn’t recruit and develop a good QB in 12 years. Think about it.

Well that’s interesting, seeing how this offense is much closer to the style of offense Brennan played in high school as opposed to the one you say he was recruited to.

Ignore Lester. He proves time after time that he doesn’t know what the hell hes talking about.

Simply not true

There’s a reason they run read options in important games.

shite, burrow has ran for 33 first downs. That’s insane

What are you even talking about anymore? Joe was recruited to run the offense we saw last year. Brady wasn't even here this time last year. Like what the frick is your point?

Brennan is ideal for this offense. He has a rocket arm and is very accurate. Brennan's arm is better than Burrow's from a pure talent standpoint. This offense doesn't need a running quarterback. Joe's legs were a bonus. That being said, if Parrish can be accurate and also add a run component, that makes him even more dangerous.

Lester Earl is spot on. As for the above quote, we go 8-4 this year without Burrow's running ability.

8-4 without Burrow running? This is laughable. What 4 games were so close we don't win if Burrow doesn't run for 15 yards? He avg 22 yards a game. Those are not make or break your offense numbers. Brady runs a passing offense, not the option.

Brennan has a stronger arm. Time will tell if he is able to match joe’s accuracy and touch

I don't think accuracy and touch will be Brennan's issue. It's whether he has the pocket awareness, field vision, able to progress reads, and identify pre-snap reads is the bigger questions.

It’s 2019. No one gives a shite about arm strength anymore. Can Brennan throw with touch is the question, and from what I’ve seen, is he can’t. His mid range game is going to disappoint a lot of people after watching Joe

Funny thing is a lot of people would probably consider Lawrence the pocket passer this year and that guy definitely isn't a pure pocket passer lol.

NCAA counts negative sack yardage against rushing totals

Burrow ran for nearly 500yds at about 7.0 ypc

His running was instrumental in many games

Brennan ran more of an air raid at St Stan. Some familiar components but not all the same. I think he could be passable but he’s not D’Eriq King.

Have to agree on Brennan's touch, not every throw has to be a rocket. I also think alot of what'll be missing is those 33 first downs Burrow ran for this year and the pressure he maneuvered around. Though I doubt we go 8-4 it should be 10-2.

Well sure but I was just referencing arm talent alone.

And yes, if D’Eriq King is willing to battle for a starting job, bring him in. This offense is built around the QB, and having Max as your backup as a freshman is not ideal.

I am sure a poster has already told you but for the millionth time on this board we can not accept a grad transfer this year! 2021 yes but not in 2020. Years

We could grab one in the summer but not likely at qb. If we grab transfers S and maybe DL are where we start and likely kids with multiple years and try to get one of those bogus waivers to play right away.
