imo, this would be a delicate move. it could really piss off the other 2 qb's (and the team). bringing in "hired guns" from the outside is potentially a team breaker.

Yea, completing 40% of your passes won't piss them off either.

Hearing this from where?

I am praying we get a transfer qB. I just see no hope without it.

Meyer's system: Josh Harris at Bowling Green Alex Smith at Utah Chris Leak at Florida Tim Tebow at Florida Braxton Miller at OSU JT Barrett at OSU Cardale Jones at OSU

Add Kenny Guiton we well. When Miller got hurt for several games last year, he lit it up. It's why I laugh when so many people think Miller is going to do anything like that at LSU. Miller was already injury prone before busting his shoulder twice in a few months (the guy had to get surgery on that same shoulder both times).

We have a pro style system and we need a pass first QB, not a running back with a cannon arm.

If we don't get Golson, I want to role with Harris. They stated yesterday morning that Golson has 24 colleges interested in his service, 6 of them in the SEC alone. The dude is a hot commodity, and seems like many know it outside of the idiots on Tiger Rant.

A high volume passer who had a one year turnover problem because he had to do too much. The guy still put up 3500 pass yards and 29 passing TDs. He's also graduating from Notre Dame in only 3 years (lost a year because he allowed some people to cheat off of him).

This guy is a smart packaged passer with a cannon arm, mobility, and is nearly ready to go. Just teach him our offense. Russell Wilson transfered to Wisconsin in late June, so with Golson graduating in May, it'll be almost like the same deal regarding time to learn the offense.

He played for Meyer in his system so yes we do count him.

Really, Really
Tell them to put on their big boy pants and play better. This is college football. LSU is expected to compete for championships. Maybe bringing in Brax Miller would light a fire under one of their butts. You think the rest of the team would be pissed off to have a heisman trophy candidate under center instead of a 48% passer that doesn't look past read 1, or a super talented kid that didn't take the bull by the horns. If anything Braxton could teach Harris how be a success.

no way he comes to LSU to throw 15 times a game and hand the ball off 45 times

Jefferson in 2009 as true sophomore, 24.6 attempts per game. Mett as a senior in 2013, 24.6 attempts per game. Lee and JJ in 2010, 23.4 attempts per game. Mett in 2012, 27.4 attempts per game.

At worse he'll be throwing 23 times a game. At best 27.

Before the bowl game, we averaged 70.4 plays per game. At 45 carries and 25 passes per game, we'd equal that.

Um, no. 3 college starts? I don't think so. That would be stupid.

Um, wrong. If he doesn't win the starting job in the fall, his stock will never be higher than it is now. He is a 22 year old father as well as the most pro-style of the 3 Luckeye QB's. He could gamble on trying to win the starting job or take the 3rd round money this spring.
