Agreed. A little emotional, but that's what we're here for. To talk things out and share our opinions; good or bad.

You may want Brandon Harris. Burning this bridge now makes little sense imo. Tell him he has an offer and get him on campus. Then worry about whether you want him.

What happens if he commits on the offer in this scenario?

Sounds like one we need to stay away from. If you want to play with the big boys you have to earn an offer.

Is he too dumb to realize that if he camps at his state's flagship and does well, he will get more offers from other schools?

Let guys like this leave if they want, all this means is he could care less about LSU and he would string it out anyway.

If your dad raised a man, show up and earn it, THIS IS LSU kid!

You're right. But where are the men in these kids lives? Why would you let your son utter such BS?

Honestly, I wouldn't want my son to say something like that, but you can't monitor them all the time especially considering how many calls these kids get.

He seems like a good kid, so I'll let the coaches make any personality decisions. I'll stick to the film and the objective stuff. I prefer to leave the subjective qualities to those who knwo him.

All this means is you are a bunch of girls!! I know y'all aren't coonass's!! Dude might be RG3 2.0. Obviously Cam sees something in the dude, he's going watch a game!! Again dude never said he wasn't coming or sounds like N.E. What he said was if a school doesn't plan to offer once he shows them what ever he has to show em he has no interest in going! Which I wouldn't either! I mean if he doesn't show anyone his skills how the hell is he going to garner an offer?? Makes no since so y'all make no since!

Seems lke mostly a bunch of overreaction to his quote to me. The kid will be at the LSU camp even if Rudolph commits before.

I don't however like the attitude displayed but I can accept it. One one hand I'm an "earn your way" type of guy but on the other hand I see why he would focus more on the schools that have offered and are willing to take him. The catch to all this is, what happens if the schools that have offered choose to take another QBs commitment 1st and he has only camped with those schools? He'll still get a ride but it may be at a school that he'd have preferred not be his option.

We cannot do this with in-state kids. It doesnt work that way with LSU and LA recruits

but you actually did. No one is even disputing he received a camp offer

quote:

What happens if he commits on the offer in this scenario?

same thing that happens with every kid that tries to commit off such an offer.

"Come on in, we'll talk face to face and discuss where you fit in, what our expectations are, and what yours are. We want to look at your grades, measure and weigh you, and see you work with our coaches. You'll want to see the facilities, meet with academic advisers, and meet some of your future teammates. Then we'll talk commit. But we don't want to take a commit without both of us having a full understanding of what we're getting into because once you commit, we expect we're done and you're done."

Pretty much this exact scenario played out with Sharieff Rhaheed

This. Brandon should have understood that though and not announced that he had an offer. That was a little naive.

Not directed at you wholly but to everyone. Yall need to chill out. He is a local kid who has confidence. Remember, we support our own. Plain and simple. He hasn't turned his back on us (yet) so we should not do the same.

You took this out of context. They were discussing whether or not an offer from LSU was coming and he was sure it was after camp. What I took from it was "I don't want to camp somewhere that I won't get an offer from." He expected his offer during/after the camp.

Maybe I'm the one reading it wrong though.

Guess so. I'm all for going for Rudolph instead of Harris. Harris seems like a project.

Point well made! Ultimately, attending the camp is not his decision alone....He has parents, and they have to foot the bill for all of these camps. So give the KID a break. He told Ensminger the same thing last month....this is nothing new to LSU.
