You are talking too much sense. You are looking at it from the perspective of a player. Most people view everything from a fan's perspective.

Does Harris view himself as a pocket passer or a dual threat guy? It seems lately not many guys want to embrace the dual threat role even if they're capable of it.

I just think its weird that he's down to lsu and auburn when they play two contrasting styles at the QB position.

oh shite, we definitely have a bad arse over here!!

i'm not saying Rettig is garbage, i just think Harris, will be able to pass him on the depth chart with little to no problem… Jennings IS our QB of the future, so Harris has some work to do to get to his level and challenge for PT…

You realize Rettig would've been graduating HS like 3 months ago and you're already writing him off?

What a joke. You're a clown

I'm not getting in the middle of this one. Suffice it to say that every analyst I saw said that Jennings was AHEAD of Rettig at this point in his progress as a potential college football QB. That is why most that I have seen also predict Jennings to NOT being RSed, Retting being RSed, and the over/under on Jennings passing up Rivers as the #2 QB at LSU seems to be about 5 weeks into the season. Some of this is based upon Rivers flat out not impressing that much after being in the program for multiple years.

Every analyst I have ever seen/hear speak say that QB is the hardest position by far to predict out of HS which is why there are so many misses. I believe Tommy Tuberville was the one who said cornerback is very hard to predict also which is why there are a lot of misses there also in projections.

Jennings is a stud, we all can see that. He came in ready to play, and he will.

But to write off Rettig who also has a ton a raw talent at this point is just dumb

I am slow to write off anyone...I give them at least a year in the program playing/available to play. I have written off Rivers...to be honest, I wrote off R Shepard early. You are correct that guys have come in behind others and ended up passing them. Who for example had the slightest idea that Mills as a TR FR would start every game I believe for LSU last year at CB? Not me!

I am PLEASED that LSU offered both Jennings and Rettig...is that a prediction that both or either will become division 1-A caliber starting QBs? No.

As a whole, not just through a select few games.

Go ahead.

And while you're at it, compare those stats to the stats of the previous season, which was 2008.

Malzahn just let Cam Newton be Cam Newton. The result. A national title, but there was nothing genuis behind what Malzahn did.
1) Can't hit the broad side of a barn

2) Won't run on SEC defenses

3) Too dumb, can't pick up an offense

4) Brent Sharffer 2.0

I could go on, but you get the point. All of which was said by fanbases prior to Cam Newton kicking everyone's arse in 2010. Of course, hindsight is 20/20 for those that have been proven wrong. Now you don't want to give any credit to the guy that revealed all of Cam Newton's athletic gifts. Let's not forget that when Cam Newton was entering the NFL Draft, everyone said the Gus Malzahn offense was the reason for his success, and that he would fall straight on his face in the NFL.

Cam Newton doing what he's doing in the NFL actually contradicts the statement that Malzahn influenced any success.

2011 is as much of an anolmaly as 2010. He lost almost all his starters, had Clint fricking Moseley, and Chizik was meddling a ton with the offense. And remind me who his QB was in 2009?

The fact of the matter is he put up ridiculous numbers at Tulsa, and the only year where he had a better than terrible QB at Auburn he broke records. And he did better than Freeze at Arkansas St. But keep picking the stats that help your argument, while ignoring the obvious reasons behind them.

ETA: Sorry, yeah back to Harris. LSU

Brandon Harris is supposed to announce next Thursday (18th). IF he picks LSU, wonder if Quinn will announce LSU right after that since Harris and he text all the time back and forth and Harris in that KWKH interview said "I hope that Quinn and I play together in the future". Sounds pretty crystal ball prophetic to me.
