Wannabe what exactly? I never claimed that Boutte would flip or that UL is god's gift to football. So I'm not sure where this wannabe comes from in the first place. No, I do not want UL to be LSU but I would not mind their level of success. BTW, the last ranked team UL beat was TX A&M in the late 90s. No would argue that our program has been in the shitter for years/decades, if not our entire existence. I also remember a large span of time that Da Tigers were SEC doormats. A good coach can do wonders for a program.

If Boutte flipped to ULL, this would be my reaction:

Would the biggest mistake of his life.

The last ranked team that I could find that USL beat was Texas A and M in 1996. The article I read stated aTm was ranked 23rd at the time. The final was USL 29 Texas A and M 22 and the game was at Cajun Field.

For the record, R C Slocum was still the coach of the Aggies, and the quarterback was a kid named Stewart that had transferred from Tennessee. When Stewart was at Tennessee, he dueled a kid named Manning for the starting job and didnt fare too well.

And that my friends, is your USL Sports History lesson for the day.

A whole lot of not caring going on this website..

Is this how you get your ego boost? Thinking you are important to us? Psst! You're not.

Like I said earlier, don't compare a game you played against Florida to any game LSU plays against Florida. They are not the same.

Florida prepares like no other for the LSU game. The Fla players fart around all week in preparation for the Cajun game. They just don't care about you.

As for the kid who wants out because he can't handle the pressure of being 55 miles away from his GF... good luck withstanding the abuse you will get on the line of scrimmage. If you can't handle so little pressure as not seeing "your girl" , how in the hell will you put up with the continous grind of pressure SEC DLinemen will dish out on you?

It's time to put on your big boy pants now. If you want to be the big fish in a little stagnant pond, play in the Sunbelt. If you want to put your head down at night knowing you have competed against the absolute best, and succeeded, go to LSU.

I guess it's how you want to rest at night that really matters to some.

Florida prepares the same for LSU and UL....OK. Maybe not. Please stop with the "we went to Florida and did what you couldn't do."

Hey genius, no Cajun fan on this thread brought that up. It was a LSU fan. Learn some reading comprehension before you post again.

O RLY?

All joking aside, I gotta give ULL credit. They've been recruiting a decent number of three star recruits, which is very respectable for a program like theirs and it adds up. Not to mention, that same team came within a few plays of beating the same team that the "big boy" team couldn't even score a touchdown against.

Don't think a Cajun fan would refer to their team like that.

Oh and look who was the first to respond to it. VermillionTiger!

Everyone's been waiting for this gem. Normally a ULL fan would throw something like this into the fire early

From another thread (Plus almost all of his CFB posts involve ULL)
quote:

quote:
Cajunese, you should be proud. The Cajuns played a great game. Despite what the Cajun fans think, all LSU fans that I know were pulling for you.quote:

And look, I pull for LSU too. I would have gone to the game against MSU tonight, but I have a family function in New Orleans that I have to attend. I just get fed up with the double standards.

Thanks for the love

So yes Vermillion was correct in saying a ULL fan would throw something like that in.

In your original reply (which I quoted in my other response) you implied he wasn't a Cajun fan. Plus he was talking about the program in a way that makes it seem like the Cajuns weren't "his team"

So excuse me for thinking he wasnt a Cajun fan

Odd that there is no news of how the visits went. I would've at least expected "great visit, lot to think about" type of news. Meh, 24 more hours and this madness is over for another year.

Just heard on the radio from DP that Boutte will sign with LSU tomorrow and had a great time in Lafayette this weekend.

Lawson will not sign with anyone tomorrow, but is in contact with WKU, ULL, LSU, and USM(?)
