What I don’t know is how far down the list was this kid after Dante fell through.

I'd say pretty far. Wasn't listed as a top 100 JUCO [layer in 2019, not even honorable mention. LINK
I like the player, just wasn't what we could have had.

I understand your dislike. I bet you dislike Coach Saban and Coach Miles as well. Fans tend to dislike opposing coaches that repeatedly kick their teams butt.

In Wade we trust!

I think you should creep the Recruiter Board daily on the off-hand chance a b-ball thread comes up so you can remind us of this.

I am an LSU fan through and through. I do not like any other team, period. I do not like Saban. He is the Great Satan of college football. I liked Miles until his unwillingness to change/evolve precipitated his undoing. I spent $3500 to attend the Great Lambeau Disaster and witnessed the official "beginning of the end". I found nothing special about watching that game in that stadium because of the outcome. I wasn't happy with the O hire, but he is proving me wrong thus far. He has come around to doing the right things after experiencing some bumps along the way. I don't believe there are a handful of coaches who could have turned it around this quickly. Anything less than 10 regular season wins in 2019 is unacceptable. But 11-1 is the real target.

I smelled what I saw in that transcript which tells me all I need to know about Will Wade. A person's true character is revealed when he doesn't think anyone is listening.

So, essentially, you're not ok with Wade because you have heard (reports) of him on wiretaps "conducting" shady recruiting, but you're ok with Orgeron and Miles solely because there isn't a recording of them doing the same activities? Because let me tell you, and I hate that this may ruin your worldview, but Miles AND Orgeron engage(d) in the same type of "poor character". It's simply what you must do to recruit at a high level in major college sports.

Of course, we could always see if Trent Johnson wants to come back. He didn't want to get too involved in the muddy waters of AAU recruiting. Yet, I seem to recall many LSU fans wanting him gone as well.

Will Wade honors us with his presence at LSU.

You cannot understand his talent, but you may not understand many other important FACTS!!! Be at peace. Just know that you do not come across as an LSU fan, more like a Cajun Circus devotee, be honest!!!

He averaged 6 points a game at the JUCO level.

I'm not feeling it.

He's going to be up against NBA ready big men.

mehhhh pick up to me.

Name them. I'm not sure there's an NBA big man in the SEC right now. Kerry Blackshear is probably the best, and when he declared for the draft he didn't even get a combine invite.

I'd much rather had a few other big men, but to be fair, he averaged 6 points on a pretty talented team with 2 other high major players. He did average like 60 percent on his FG's. Not the dominate player we were hoping for, but I believe he will contribute in a very positive way.

My man, you are never gonna be happy rooting for a team at LSU's level in either sport, because neither will meet your lofty standards. I would suggest a div II or III school so you will be able to enjoy the purity of the sport, cuz that purity ain't in the SEC.

If you insist.

EJ Montgomery will be an absolute machine this year for Kentucky along with 7 footer Nick Richards. Both those guys have the ability to have huge seasons at Kentucky.

Uros Plavsic will play professionally 7 foot 240 at Tenn.

Kerry Blackshear, Jr. 6'10" 250 at Florida. Absolute dominate player who transferred from Virginia Tech and Omar Payne at 6'9" was a huge recruit who will do big things at Florida.

This is only scratching the surface I didn't research other teams but just about everyone has a more productive big man than a 6 point per game JUCO transfer.

All I'm saying is we got what was left with him. We want the big kid from Kansas but I'm not sure he's going to be able to re-classify.

Take the blinders off and admit that the JUCO kid is a mehhh pick up.

Not if you view it realistically as a depth pickup, which I guess you are having a hard time with for reason

We need SEC ready rim protectors.....................we do not need 6'9" guys that can only give us 6-7-8 minutes a game.

Guys I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years.

Last year was one of the best years I've witnessed as an LSU basketball fan. I was there for the stromile swift season and the darrel mitchell season.

But let's not wave the flag like we're excited about a juco kid that averaged 6 points per game.

Your comment was "NBA Ready big men"

There are none of those in the SEC. There may be a player or two that make a team, but there are no lottery pick type big men in the SEC this year.

Blackshear is a great college player, but when he declared in the spring, he didn't even get invited to the NBA combine and was not expected to even be drafted.

Also, I never said that Thomas was in any way comparable to those guys you listed. He likely won't play much.

But to say that he will be going up against "NBA ready big men" is completely false. If they were NBA ready, they would be in the NBA.

Did you watch Auburn last year? They found a way to win with the talent on the roster. Don't recall any real rim protectors on that team at all, certainly not any NBA ready big men. We are going to start two 5 star post players (Watford and Williams) and two guards that are as good as any in the SEC (Smart and Mays). Outside of those four, we seem to have a ton of competition for guys that can play the 2, 3 and 4 sports

We are not lacking from a talent standpoint, it will just be a different style of play.

I can agree with you that we will have to play a different style.

I love Williams motor but he's undersized. He needs to develop more.

Watford is absolutely SEC ready.

I'm anxious to see the progression that Darius has made along with Courtese Cooper. I think we will see minutes split between Cooper and the juco kid. They will be serviceable but both are still very raw.
