BOOOOOOMMMM LSU SOFTBALL picks up Elite 2018 Pitcher

Ali Kilponen committed to LSU today!
Considered one of the best pitchers in the 2018 class
She choose LSU over Washington and Baylor
LSU now has two of the top 6 pitchers in the 2018 class!
Ali is out of Colorado with a sub .40 ERA and over 1000 career K's to less than 70 BBs
Major pickup, LSU losses Walljasper and hoover next year and now we add two of the countries top pitchers!!
Time to be excited for the next fantastic duo at LSU, Ali Kilponen and Shelby Wickersham!!

The softball program is the only program that brings the excitement these days. I was hoping we'd land her. Next years looks bright! and the next decade lol

Whatever Beth has been doing lately she needs to continue to do it. Recruiting is now at an OU/Florida type level. Superior and elite players top to bottom in her classes
Once LSU turns the corner offensively, LSU will be ridiculously hard to deal with.
Beth has adjusted the offensive approach a bit this off season. Excited to see where it takes us.

Calling the recruiting for softball absolutely amazing is a gigantic understatement. Beth Torina KILLING it right now.

This 2018 class has two elite pitcher and a some extremely talented hitters.
2019 class is amazing as well, two of the ladies committed are out in Cali and they are incredible players
2020 is ridiculously stacked top pitcher and elite hitters. Ranked #2 class
2021 is insane too
I think we will see a definite elevation in play once we a couple of these classes arrive.

To be honest I am not 100% sure, Shelby is definitely not short for sure. She is not far from her dad who is like 6'2. Shelby plays volleyball too

Ali I am not sure probably about 5'8 or 5'9, she is definitely above 5'6

Read an article that said Ali was 6'1 and Shelby at 5'11, so another tall pitching duo otw.

Really a great get for LSU softball.... Losing to AA pitchers at the end of this year, this will add some huge depth

Hope this is true since Walijasper and Hoover are on the way out. LSU has dominated in the circle the last 5 or 6 years with just enough offense to keep us close. If our level of pitching drops off our offense has to turn the corner or we will have a very different product on the field.

I thought Gorsuch and Sunseri were supposed to be the next dynamic duo? Are we already writing them off? If we can improve at developing position players and maintain the level of pitching we have had with Fico, Mack, Hoover, Waljasper and Smith we will be incredible.
