Was it a strong or a weak offer?

Have you seen the IMG Academy roster lately? Pull your head out of your arse for two seconds. Getting this kid has more layers than apparently you can comprehend.

Was done deal. DV screwed the pooch. If he ever does another LSU basketball game I will be there booing his arse. He had no right to express his opinion in any negative way. He really thought Kentucky was going to swoop in and take kid. geauxtigers:

Steph Curry was a 3 star . I know he didn’t attend LSU but some players are under rated .

Boom! This kid is talented. Can't seem to fathom how people are complaining. We just got a heck of a commitment amid this epidemic from what is surely an upward trending prospect. He is exactly the type of hybrid wing that Wade seems to love getting and he is totally stoked to fit into LSU's scheme.

As a program, you need guys like this. He is a 3-4 year guy that will get much better as he matures and gains experience. Looks like a good pick up IMO.

After Brady’s last class...that Trent Johnson won with...LSU talent level and depth went way down. JJ brought Mickey and Martin.. later Simmons and almost killed the program. Wade has rebuilt the talent level and depth...finally. It remains to be seen if we have enough inside talent and depth for SEC road games. Lack of rim protection really hurt last year. It appeRs that we have 8 to 10 legit SEC basketball players after many years of having two or three..

If the knee is 100%, Hyatt will be a solid contributor.

Lots of people dont know about this kid, but here's what I dug up, and asked Billy on 247 for more info, but here goes...

Murray was a 2020 recruit who transferred into Baltimore Poly late his junior year (not sure if he played for them then), and his entire senior year played there on a GREAT TEAM (25-2), who beat IMG 62-60, in which he dropped 21 points on basically a high-school all star team. He had a 4-star Top 100 overall 2020 teammate who is headed to Marquette at Poly last season.

He averaged 23 points, 6 boards and 3 assists a game at Poly as a senior last season. He made 66% of his FG attempts and 55% of his his threes which is INSANE for a 6'5 highly athletic guard.

As a 2020 recruit as of June he had offers from Coastal Carolina, DePaul, East Tennessee State, Georgetown, Hofstra, Mississippi, North Carolina-Greensboro, North Texas, Rhode Island, Siena, South Florida, St. Bonaventure, Towson, Virginia Tech and Wichita State. So a few nice power conference offers and Wichita State which some would consider a power conference offer as well from the AAC. Georgetown is definitely a huge offer. Georgia, Tennessee and Temple were all also about to offer him as a 2020 kid he said.

He decided looks like to reclassify in June of 2020 to 2021 - no reason given. This could have been due to academics (he graduated, but never talked about his grades/score or anything), or getting more exposure at IMG since he's going there. Low and behold he picked up offers from Auburn, Depaul, ETSU, GW, Georgetown, North Texas, Ole Miss, Siena, St. Bonaventure, UNCG, VT, Wichita State and us as a 2021 recruit already before ever playing anything this summer or this season for IMG/AAU. Auburn very recently offered him, which is a big offer these days, along with Georgetown carrying over their 2020 offer as well as WSU.

I'd say he is criminally underrated as a barely Top 250 guy all things considered. He absolutely tore it up last season on a very good team with other D1 talent on it, including putting up a good show on a loaded with division 1 players IMG team. If he can get minutes and show out at IMG this season with multiple big time players on that team including Moussa Diabate, Charles Bediako, Efton Reid and Tamar Bates who are all 4/5 star 2021, I'd say he'll be in for a HUGE ranking boost in the 2021 class. I think his ranking now is more a placeholder, but he definitely made a name for himself as a 2020 kid his senior year, and it seems unclear why he reclassed to 2021 itself. Seems like due to missing most if not potentially all of junior year his name wasn't even really out there till his senior year.

In 1 article I linked it clearly said his game against IMG as a senior in February put him on the map and he racked up like 8 offers a week after that game.

I was looking at his twitter, his best offers outside of Wichita St came after Big Shots National tournament in mid July 20’.

Which they labeled as a 17U tournament, so he seems young for his age, which is maybe why he wanted to reclassify?

VCU July 27
LSU offered July 21
Auburn Aug 3rd

Before that his offer list was

VA Tech
Georgetown
Ole Miss
DePaul
USF
Wichita St
SLU
Rhode Island
St. Bona
UNCG
ETSU
GW
CCU
Siena
DePaul
North TX

Hopefully Billy at 247 can shed more light onto why he reclassified but every article talks about this being his "Senior" season at Poly last year, so he's considered a post-graduate reclass to IMG this year. It really could have just been to get more offers as it seems he missed most if not all his junior year in high school and then his senior year not even getting nationally noticed until February putting up a great game in a win vs. IMG and all those 4/5 stars they had.

Everything on paper about this kid is showing someone with a super high ceiling though who dominated his senior year and put up some really nice AAU stats too. Obviously this year at IMG will tell us a lot more playing around that kind of talent but if you stick out there you're pretty much a high 4-star or 5-star type of talent for sure.

Will be interesting to follow him. 55% from 3 means he clearly got a lot of good looks and knocked em down.

That is a very impressive stat.
