I see he is announcing in 8 days and probably gonna be an Aggie again. Has LSU backed off? If so, why? At one time he was trending toward LSU and they can’t possibly get too many CBs in this class... right?

We just got Banks and Stingley, DB board filling up and we aren't very much in it for him. Our attention is elsewhere

Better options on the board still. Bush and Porter being the top two. Still have some JUCO options they can fall back on if need be.

Gotta think the staff is holding a spot for Bush. I'll bet LSU hasn't been pushing for Wolfe.

I think our last two spots go to Bush and a JuCo guy, maybe Porter gets added too if Hampton is moved to safety

Both Hampton and Porter could play safety. With Porter's size, OLB has also been mentioned to him.

He's someone they like a lot. They expect him here for the weekend, but it's still sort of a fluid situation. Long trek coming from Pennsylvania.

So they liked Banks over the other Texas CBs? I wonder why?
I just figured they would have been happy with any of them, but didn’t want more than 1, and Banks liked LSU the most.

Look at the programs that Banks was choosing from compared to Wolfe. There's obviously something coaches are seeing in their evals that separate these two.
Banks had LSU, Bama, Ohio State, Texas, and A&M all pushing for commitment.
Wolfe on the other hand has A&M, Arky, Ole Miss, Arizona, and Baylor.

Not necessarily, but he was most reciprocating and wanted to commit, so they took him on board. They liked Carter, Young, Wolfe and Banks...offered all 4 and would have taken a commit from all 4 probably. Banks was just first up to bat and they accepted. All 4 have good to great offer lists - Banks almost most impressive of them, better than Wolfe's mind you.
With Stingley on board now, things are going to have to get more picky. They really want Bush and would save a spot to the end for him, the last spot could go to a number of people.
We backed off on Wolfe because he's zero'd in a few schools recently we weren't a part of.

LSU just offered Carter last month (according to 247), but they were in on Banks, Young, and Wolfe early. Would have liked to see any/all of them in the LSU class, but i won't complain w STINGLEY, BANKS, HAMPTON and if sign BUSH, PORTER JR.
