What did they say at the end that wasn't true? We have a serious issue in both areas they discussed. And those aren't insignificant areas.

This is why a LB or 2 in this class would've been really helpful.

We all get that but people are freaking out about a possible problem that is a year out and can be fixed by a good year next year. The program is not going to collapse in on itself just because we did not add a linebacker this year.

And going into the cycle we needed to add significant depth on the OL, the offensive background (needed RB and FB), and the defensive backfield. You could make the argument that they brought the best class in all three of those areas in the country this year. Not to mention a few outstanding WR's and a pretty damn good DE. Focusing on the one negative on the class while completely ignoring the positives makes for a shittey analysis. Seriously, they only talked about one OL recruit in that piece and that was the biggest need and make up of this recruiting class.

6) Cam Cameron I think can handle a dual QB but Jennings gave him nothing. I don't think we should judge Cam based on one bad year under Jennings give him time.

Cammy Cam Cameron can develop dual threat QBs. He's done so in the past. But we have to move away from the antiquated "Pro Style" offense and begin to incorporate more spread and shotgun base offensive schemes for our dual threat QBs to be comfortable and to slowly adjust to the college game.

Jennings also admitted that he basically didn't take it seriously enough, if I'm not mistaken, so I don't really know what you can do with a guy like that if you're Cam.

Very true, the "Chavis Conspiracy" hurt us up the middle in this recruiting cycle. I believe we would have saw Mack and Lewis in this class without the foul play from Chavis. LSU is still loaded with talent at the position, but you have to reload in the trenches every year.

Why do people do this..?? Almost a double negative. Why can't you say " those are significant areas"?

The way it's written is fine..but in some cases it's almost a mind frick lol

Ok..don't be mad at me..!! I hate grammar police..!!!

I get what they're saying, the D had problems up the middle. though relying on true freshmen at those positions is generally not a good idea, so it doesn't make sense to judge the thing as a whole on something like that.

Hopefully Devin White wants to play LB at LSU and not RB.

One gave a C because we didnt get a Bennie Logan or Tyson Jackson. We dodnt need egde rushers we need a middle man....Guess he didnt know Valentine will be here.

Other gave it a B- because we didnt go after a QB exceot a 3 star. LMAO

I'm trying to figure out where they are wrong here. The 3 biggest areas of need weren't sufficiently addressed. And Valentine hasn't played a snap.

The class is good but it's nothing special. We had great DB's and RB's this season and look where it got us.

Perhaps we should recruit a stud passing pro-style QB to run a pro-style offense.

Jennings isn't "dual" threat. He can't pass and he's a mediocre runner. he's more like a "no threat"

Consider Sione and Lewis Neal LBs. I think Steele will want to use them on the edge. Also I think some of those guys who were 3 techs. under Chavis will play the 5. So to me, the only question is, who besides Valentine can play nose?

I like Bleacher Report because I get tons of football news everyday so it's my football fix. I follow more than just LSU in the CFB world (but my only team is LSU), so it's great to have.

With that said, these people don't do much research AT ALL. At least the ones who cover LSU and the main talking heads.

We have 8 DTs at the position, 7 in the last 2 classes and 6 of them are 4 stars!!! We are good to go there. With the addition of Washington and Key, we now have 6 DEs, which is enough to get us by this year. Let's not forget that we will more than likely pick up another DE in Anderson later on in the offseason.

The only problems I see is not at least one top level passer (a 4 star), and zero LBs. We are pretty much loaded everywhere else.

LSU can sell the LB position next year by saying that we are so thin that any of the guys we pick up, could start. While I like Riley and maybe Donnie can be good for us, that's not a known thing. If we get Joyner, he will start. If we get another high rated OLB, he will also likely start.

We beefed the frick up on the OL. Four 4 star players including a top 2 OG and two top 6 tackles. DBU is gold, WRU is diamond, RBU is rubies, sapphires, emeralds. We have an embarrassment of riches.
