I'm sure Cryer is the C, and Lee is one of the OGs. Would the two OTs be Williams and Calloway with Ivy the other OG or is that incorrect?

Well guys kid told coaches what they wanted to hear. With this NIL Money nothing is a done deal anymore. It seems like Aggies offered kid a deal he couldnt refuse. I stand corrected looking like Ivy to Aggies.I dont think Ivy is big enough fish to get in a bidding war. Really think Simmons still in play. Thats just my opinión. Geaux Tigers!

We’re getting left behind in the trenches with this class. Disappointing.

They can pump sunshine all they want. The OL class is made up of 4 guys who have potential but all 4 will need a lot of work before they are ready. I don’t even know what to say about DL recruiting. In 2023, we had highly ranked guys, but no depth in the class at that position. This class is lacking quality and quantity. We’re going to put immense pressure on ourselves to have success in the portal.

It's getting concerning.

This is like 99% of OL recruits that sign

No coach and I mean no coach wants to start true freshman at OL

Emery Jones wasn't ready to start last year but he was better than what we had. Campbell was an exception but I guarantee if the coaches had a choice they would prefer to have had him start at RT then move to LT this year

anyone complaining about our OL recruiting is a fricking idiot

Unfortunately what appears to be happening with Ivy and Simmons is going to happen often. Kids are either going to leverage interest to get a better offer or teams with more resources are going to make 11th hour offers to tip the scale.

LSU is not in a position to win most battles. I've said it multiple times that Kelly has to be strategic in where he allocates resources with recruits. It's not only going to be specific to position of need, but also how dynamic a player is and if he sees that the juice is worth the squeeze to up the ante.

CFB is going to start to mirror MLB with the big market teams stock piling talent with other teams fighting for that breakthrough opportunity. We may not win the recruiting battles consistently, but I trust Kelly to build a solid roster and develop players. Win games. develop players and put lesser heralded players in the NFL with high picks and pay days and he can go tell the blue chip players that you can be a 5 star player with 3 star development and lose money in the end or come to LSU and we'll prepare you for the big pay out.

I’m not suggesting they need to be ready to start as freshman. The last two OL classes should prevent that from being a need. However, one could argue all four guys could lean more project than college ready after one or two seasons on campus. We haven’t recruited at the same level in this OL class like we have in recent years based on Williams, Lee, and Cryer’s ranking. My real issue is DL recruiting. It’s objectively bad and anyone who tries to argue that simply doesn’t want to see it. We have no choice but to recruit the portal at an elite level unless we somehow close this class out strong. McKinley is very likely going elsewhere, Reliford hasn’t indicated he is flipping, and Okoye is a long shot.
