Who cares though? Regardless of what he does, LSU will be fine. LSU is building oit an excellent safety room. We are only up in arms because of a ranking. Just because Spears hasn't taken over the world at LSU yet, doesn't mean the #2 safety coming out of his class, is not great. We also currently have the #7 safety in Hall in this class. Jhase Thomas is an elite athlete at safety too. His potential is high. As of right now the future at safety is elite. What we need is immediate impact. If Toviano comes into his talent playing a rotational role, and Spears does the same, we are in for a classic LSU level of high end safety play the next few years.

I hear ya but are they being stunted developmentally by the continued plethora of transfers who you aren't paying to not play and the lack of great secondary coaching? I wish upon the Toviano star as well but at some point he has to do something other than be a fan favorite. He's turning into the new Russell Shepard. You just keep waiting for all the hype to show itself. But I do agree, perfect world, our S room is loaded with potential.

With this one, unfortunately, I think is over. He’s already taking money from Ohio State. Already buying gifts for the CHS players/program.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but there’s been hundreds of examples of kids being all in on a school until they weren’t. Recruiting was a crap shoot prior to NIL. Now, it’s complete lawlessness.

LSU must give him a reason to join the program. None of these kids want to be the reason the tide changes. They now require the tide to have already turned. (Thank god for kids like Pickett)
Let’s see what happens with Baker year 2 and the new blood we have signed on defense. This may just be the year it all comes back together.
We all know when LSU defense is back, there is no comparison. He will have something to think about.

Happy for Blaine. My son payed a lot of youth baseball with him. A great kid and a great family.
Stop trying to bash this kid. More focus needs to be put on why BK couldn't close the deal even with his brother committed.
