many of which have not panned out
see: 2008 and 2009 LSU
What is the average rate of not panning out ? Is Les below that average?
Again I am asking only about potential and not about on/off field issues and grades.

isn't their track record of recruiting and evaluating players good enough to give them the benefit of doubt?
Our talent level has steadily declined over Miles tenure.
Miles has had more questionable recruits that are busts than pan out. Two JD Lotts for every Kelvin Sheppard.
On top of that there are many in state guys that are producing at schools like Oklahoma(Alexander) and Ole Miss(Locket) that we passed on in favor of out of state guys(Corely) that didn't pan out.
Do I expect Miles to be perfect? No
But the criticism is fair.

Is there any particular reason that we haven't been able to get more information about Blackmon ? Or is the primary cause for the concern?

Apparently there are no video cameras in all of Selma.
His only other offer was Troy. This might be a slight cause for concer also.

You should duck. You do realize that in North Baton Rouge in the 50s, Istrouma High School under Alvin Roy started the weightlifting in organized football. Roy trained Gayle Hatch, the USA Olympic Coach, and both tutored Moffit. Every pro football outfit eventually copied what was done in that gym in North Baton Rouge. I think that our S&C will be just fine.

when ryan st julien is taken in the first rd of the draft you'll owe Les an apology

Roy also introduced steroids into the NFL.

I know we laughed about this when the news first came out but if there isn't any more info till date I can see why that could be a cause for concern.

I'll be glad to do it.
I'll also issue an apology to les if Rocky D wins the Thorpe Award, Alex Russian sees the field again, or Houston Bates impresses the SEC with anything other than his rugged good looks.

ULL boosters have offered a fully loaded Saturn for his services. Bates' handler is mulling the offer

Not impressed with the results the last couple of years. No matter how good someone was, it doesn't last forever. People that are impressed cite Moffitts past as proof, but looking at the field the last two seasons I don't see stellar results. People don't hang onto it forever.

Have we learned anything about him since his commitment?
It's very questionable that more things haven't come out about him. Doesn't he play in a small division?
I have to say I'm kind of worried. I mean usually a big school offers and people jump to find out what's going on like Tyrann Mathieu, but no one seems to care about Blackmon.

I don't know about that. We don't have a lot of hamstring or muscle strain injuries which is great and showes our S&C program is working well. Also, most of the guys we have on the team now are not 4th/5th year Jr./Sr.'s like we had a few years ago. LaFell has panned out well, and look at guys like Sheppard, C. Jones, L. Landry, Herman Johnson, etc. who got in very good shape under Moffit
