Louisiana is #1 in talent per capita. Ohio is huge compared to Louisiana in terms of population, & puts out more talent almost every year. Ohio State always has talent for a reason.

Louisiana has produced twice as many top 200 recruits as Ohio the last 5 years. If you include the 50 unranked players that go to Rutgers and MAC schools then sure, Ohio produces more talent than LA…

If you can prove that, then I'll admit I was wrong. I'm on my phone right now, & I'm not looking that stuff up.
I'm not a loser. I, honestly, hope you're right. That would bode well for LSU.

quote:BINGO. Been saying this for years! That's the main ingredient in Nick Saban's winning formula. Blue chip WRs and QBs are great, but winning consistently ALWAYS begins and ends with the OL.
4-6 linemen a year with 3 of those being top 150 type guys

The 247 composite from 2018-2023, which is the last six classes, has LA with 58 top 200 recruits and Ohio with 33

That's very easy to check, so I'll assume you're not dumb enough to lie.
You win this one, sir. Props for sticking to your story.

What I like is it obvious Kelly has a profile for OL he offers. All of these guys are long and lean…. 6’4”-6’6” 280-296#.
I’m sure it’s easier to put 20 to 25# on the big frame, then trying to shape a sloppy body

Yup. The waistlines don’t lie.
I grew tired of the 25lb spare tires hanging over OLmen’s belts.

Warped perception.
Not reality.

The thing about GA is the sheer volume/depth of talent each year. The state typically produces 40-50 D1 recruits.

We haven't quite kept up with OL recruiting compared to a few programs, but generally speaking we've been just fine. Development has been our issue for quite some time.

No we haven't kept up with Oline talent compared to the top 5 schools past decade.
