how has nobody mentioned whitney lewis?
#3 prospect in the country, which is higher than anyone else mentioned in this thread. signed with usc, had 3 catches for 27 yards in 2 years. played at northern iowa for a year, was the 3rd best running back on the team, graduated and dropped out of football.

xavior carter?
latiger09, if what you say about lewis is correct then he would definitely be the biggest bust ever.

whenever these threads come up on recruiting boards he usually ends up running away the winner.
another is jason gwaltney. 5 star rb, went to wvu, got hurt in his first game i think it was, didnt rehab right and stopped caring about school. dropped out, tried to go to juco, couldnt get in there. went back to west virginia in spring 2007 but ended up dropping out again.

id have to say the x man was a bust.

Jason just got let back into school. He will be playing this fall for WV. I saw him in High school and he was nice. DO you guys remember Micheal Ray Garvin. went to Don Bosco Prep then signed with FSU. He is still playing but I just think he has lived to the hype.

What is it with guys named Xavier flopping.
Xavier Lee was THE #1 Dual threat QB in the country in 2004 and he was just Mr. "not all that" at Florida State.

Have to disagree vehemently with you there.
He set the FSU school record for kick return yardage last year and you know the Seminoles have had some speed merchants.
He's an undersized corner with big speed and he's more than capable defending the run (led FSU corners in tackles last year).
On the other hand, he's only had a couple of picks in his career. At 5-foot-8, he may not get the chance to be a Devin Hester-type return man (and nickel/dime back), but he's gritty and a good college player.

perrilloux played a significant role in a national championship season. just because lsu fans are disappointed his career didnt happen the way it was supposed to here does not mean he is anywhere near as much of a bust as most of the players mentioned in this thread.
Posted on 7/14/08 at 10:37 pm to latiger09
RP clearly the biggest bust. Think about it. Most of the guys named here were rated great in High School and never lived up to expectations in college. RP was # 1 recruit in whole country, showed he was the real deal in SEC CG, slated to be starting QB for one or two years on defending NC team, then pissed it away over nothing.

no, hes not. and its not even close.

that is the definition of a bust.

no, he wasnt. not even close. in fact there are 5 players that were mentioned in this thread that were ranked higher than perrilloux and accomplished much less in college, therefore being much greater busts.

you do realize these are the exact reasons he is not a bust, or at least not the biggest bust, dont you?

yet he still acomplished much more in college than many players ranked around and ahead of him.
perrilloux is less of a bust than mark sanchez at this point.
