Davhon Keys COMMITS to LSU! | Will Brian Kelly hold onto Xavier Atkins, land Tylen Singleton?

As always, listening as I type so please forgive any grammatical errors!

-We start off with the commitment of Davhon Keys that pushes LSU back into the top 10 in the On3 rankings.

-Currently ranked a 3* but Billy can easily see him getting that 4th star. Big edition to the class with a lot of upside.

-Runs track and does power lifting as well. Take it back he committed to LSU silently with the "my recruitment is shut down". Hours later Bama offers and people start to freak out because he's from Aledo.

-He didn't visit Bama and shut it down. Recently earned top honors at Rivals camp

-Shea gets the feeling that this one is going to stick unlike the former Aledo commitments from the past. Lots of family in Louisiana so the ties are there.

-He has been a top linebacker target for some time. Very bright. Aledo trusts him to lead their defense.

-Expect him to get some more mass. 600 pound squat this weekend. Can match up well with RB's.

-Now have Kolaj Cobbins, Xavier Atkins as the other LB's with Keys. Tylen Singleton is now the #1 target.

-You add Tylen to the class and that's the best linebacker group in the country. Getting into Many is now possible.

-Aggies & TCU are hot after him. Tylen will visit in April. He would round out the LB class. Cobbins expected to take that Harold Perkins role.

- Payton Pierce is another prospect out of Lucas Lovejoy where Kyle Parker is from. He is a true MLB.

- Jaylen Boardley is another prospect from Texarkana who is a quick two way player. LSU just offered and he just visited. Said LSU is at the top of his list.

-LSU has LB options and they won't go hungry looking for talent.

-Xavier Atkins is the one to watch. Recruitniks are watching him play the game though he's committed to LSU. Shea says he's from a small school/community and now he is getting the recognition/attention moving to Humble. "Let kids be kids". Behind the scenes still look great for LSU.

-Don't go off twitter and social media. Shea says he can see him sticking. He just visited the last weekend and hung out with Maurice Williams a lot. They take visits together. Watch what they do. Billy not really concerned about a flip. Aggies & Hogs are after him the most.

-More than 300 kids came by this weekend. Benefited from the Dallas combine and the Battle NOLA 7 on 7 teams visiting.

-95% of those teams drove over to Baton Rouge and spent time on campus meeting with the staff.

-Lots of offers this weekend and tons of targets. Lots of kids popped by in between their 7 on 7 games. Have to sift through who was actually here for LSU.

-David Stone the 5* DL was in town for an LSU visit. Coast to coast recruitment. Aggies, Oklahoma, Michigan State are the top. Billy thinks it went well. LSU getting into the mix. Hope to get him in the summer or a fall official.

-Coach Cain has to deliver DT's this cycle. Big target since his Oklahoma days. He's currently visiting Oklahoma right now.

-LSU had the #1 & #2 defensive lineman on campus this weekend. You want big time interior guys Coach Cain got them on campus together.

-#1 ATH, #1 Te, #1 S, #3 RB, Top 5 S for this year and next year, top 5 WR and top 5 CB all were on on campus.

-This is what spring visits are supposed to be. Getting the big names for 2024 and 2025 on campus. That's what Georgia does.

-Dominick McKinley could be better than David Stone at this stage per some of the experts.

-Jamar Cain doesn't waste his time on prospects. He kept his list short last year and is doing that now.

-LSU has to hit on DT's this cycle and they have a good list. Looking for at least two true DT's.

-Jamie Frfench the 2025 WR is someone that Cortez Hankton really wants. Wanted him on campus to get him that offer. Expect LSU to turn up the heat.

-Hankton looks like he is spending more time in South Florida for WR's. Gave three kids offers for 2025. Jaime Ffrench is apparently tight with Colin Hurley.

-11 commitments is a lot faster start than last year when they only had 3 around this time.

Colin Hurley spends the week at LSU

-Tuesday until Friday night before Battle NOLA on Saturday. He's the face of the class.

-Sat in on practice and QB meetings. Saw football ops. Early feel for what it's like to be in college and how LSU splits up academics and football.

-Lots of eyes will be on his senior year. Don't see many QB's reclassify like this. He will camp everywhere Elite 11 and all showcases.

-Bryce Underwood & George MacIntyre are the two lead QB's for Joe Sloan in the 2025 class who were both on campus.

-George MacIntyre has been to campus multiple times. He also plays basketball and holds those offers as well. LSu firmly in the mix. Good feeling for LSU to have their QB room set up.

-How the times have changed with LSU getting these big names at QB on campus.

-He visited the LSU-Alabama game. Tennessee will be main competition but LSU could have him back in the summer for camp.

-Billy says one of the better camps. Ahmad Breaux, Devhon Keys were in attendance.

-Ahmad Breaux bigger than Billy thought. Reported at 255. Will get that verified this week. Played EDGE at camp. As he grows will probably play inside. More of a football player than camp guy. Explosive in bag drills.

-2025 OL Michael Fasusi will be a national name. Loves LSU early on. He is not from the states originally.

-Charleston Collins fresh off the LSU visit earned MVP honor. Thinnest right now at strong side defensive end. Billy seems him growing into a three technique lighter DT.

-Sounds like LSU is going to turn the heat up on Bryant Wesco who has Louisiana ties. Catch of the day and routed up high ranked CB's. Will visit campus next week after offering last month. TCU & OU main competition.

-Shea writing and article about him today. Talk about Louisiana ties and what it means. Dad is from NOLA. Destrehan high grad. Played at LA Tech and is in their hall of fame for track and field. Owns records in triple jump.

-Sister plays soccer at Oklahoma who is said to be the favorite. Shea seems to be hinting at this one a lot about these ties and how LSU needs to get after him asap.

- Blake Ivey will be on campus later this spring. Did well in 1 on 1's.

- Trey'Dez Green starting to work his craft at football. Started showing how dominant he is on 50/50 balls. Stock keeps going up. Production is going up and he is going to showcases.

-2025 RB James Simon is high on LSU's board. Sure handed catching the ball and big frame

- Koby Howard is on Colin Hurley's 7 on 7 team. Kid really loves LSU. Missed sophore year with broken leg. He was on campus this past weekend.
