Why would he care what the Bama coaches think if he's going to commit to LSU on the 4th? Sounds like he's Bama's to lose at this point but is open to hearing the last push by Miles and Co. I think he's handling the situation pretty well, considering he fits well into Bama's system and we just stocked up on LBs last year.
Because he was asked the question if the Bama coaches would like that he is visiting LSU a few days after he just committed to them. He said, no they wouldn't.
And he hasn't canceled that visit to LSU. You people are taking what he said way out of context.
Bama has given up on Beckwith. Moving on to Tim Williams.

This must be the case.
If the interviewer sets the question up with that scenario, that is an understandable reply for someone who still doesn't know.
But, if not, the reply is clearly understood to mean that he will commit to Bama on Jan. 4th.
I haven't read the article, so I don't know. And, if the interviewer didn't make that clear, he's irresponsible at the very least.
I'll say this, if Beckwith can go on national television, and follow up the Collins commitment with a similar announcement, this will not be just a matter of favoring Alabama, but sticking it to LSU.
I've heard that the Beckwith family is very pro-Saban. I seem to remember Darry's family being outspoken about Miles on several occasions.
The fact that many of you are confident on this kid does give me a little hope, but you can put me in the guardedly optimistic category on this one.

Doesn't matter. Kid is an animal on the football field. One of the best athletes I've had the pleasure of playing against. He'll be successful where ever he goes.

He says he knows where he is going.

You're wrong.

I'm not, but I'll roll with it, if you say so.

I really hope so. The kid's a player, and will have an immediate impact, IMO.

I've known his family for 20+ years

I will be suprised if Beckwith signs with LSU. His recruitment feels like a Bama silent commitment.
Texas is where the talent is, and we need to get more involved there.

Then you know what I'm talking about.
Heat of the moment or not.

Since you are close with the family, I hope that you are correct. I would love to have him wearing that P&G.

Beck is on the train to the 1st round in the NFL and that train goes through Baton Rouge.

I could see the questions here about receiving highschool accolades, but in terms of his prospects at the next level on defense I don't see the issue.
