I don’t think he’s the answer at TE but he’s a serviceable body that put up decent numbers.

He graded about average amongst TE’s nationally with any kind of target volume. That offense he was in was terrible

I don't understand this one unless he's a TE #2 for LSU and they're not going to see guys like Green enter the portal.
Not to be a debbie downer but this guy is not good. His PFF grades are below-average and the only reason he has those stats is because they had nobody else they could get the ball to this year.
This is fine for depth purposes but I hope he isn't the TE1 they targeted in portal. Possibly a Pimpton replacement I suppose but his receiving PFF grade isn't even good. He's a mediocre blocker and receiver.
LSU needs a firm TE1 and WR1 from the portal. Guys like Brown are not a WR1.

PFF grades don’t mean much if anything. Especially if you’re in a dysfunctional offense with bad coaching and a freshman QB. At the end of the day the jokers grading at PFF are a bunch of jock sniffers that don’t know what the coaches are coaching them or designing for them to do. He’s a good athlete with upside and experience that should pick up the offense fast. We should be excited to have him on board

LSU needs another TE from the portal if Plimpton remains in it. LSU lost 2 last year in the portal, Taylor is gone to the NFL, and Plimpton appears to be leaving. All LSU signed out of HS was LaFleur. And if Green is shifted to WRer, then LSU definitely needs another TE in addition to Sharp.
