Read LHSAA rule 1.13.3. I am sure this rule is used in most cases for private catholic schools where the incoming 9th grader also attended a catholic school as an 8th grader

This kid is an absolute stud. Had 3-4 home runs last year as a freshman SS batting lead off. His defense was impeccable. Huge pickup for LSU and he will get to campus.

What travel ball team did he play on?

He played under Leo McClure's La Tigers and did some showcase ball with Marucci

Read the thread yesterday and with only a few post I didn't realize who it was until my daughter who attended school with him at St. Alphonsus mentioned to me in a shocked manner that he had signed with LSU!

So now I am getting recruiting information from my Soph. daughter!!!

He will play for lsu no matter the offers he may get. I know his family very well. He's a great kid and player!

You do know that it's the worst kept secret in the world that MANY players will say this to leverage a better signing bonus, don't you.

I bet he started at 6 or 7 years old too.

I gotta cross post this to the OT.

(BTW, I'm being serious about the age he started. Hard work pays off. )

He's not one of those very big kids. He doesn't project out to 6'4 rangy kind of athlete. For his size he can crush the ball.
I'm sure he will be on draft radars but odds are he will end up at LSU. MSU had already offered as well and Ole Miss wanted him to visit but he didn't.
