Only way they sign more than one is if they use Saban math. Otherwise, if Harris has signed as reported, they are full.
Somebody else brought this up and it would have to be the last straw NCAA wise.
The kids just walk on with NIL deals/money. Ags/tu/Gumps are shitting on every other ethical procedure/rule so can someone explain why that won't happen too?

Walk ons count against the limit if they were “recruited”. I don’t know the exact boundary on contact with players that constitutes recruiting, but the players in question certainly were “recruited”.

Nor do I but seems to me they're going to ignore anything that might hinder what they want to do. Truly modern day Wild Wild West.
Hmmmm. Lester Earl was there for the real Wild West so maybe we should ask him about parallels...

Not true at all

I've found the answers and it's definitely true.

Teams can sign 32 high school prospects (or any combination of high school prospects and transfers) under the waiver (more if they can apply other exceptions, such as the voluntary withdrawal or midyear replacement exceptions).

The language also clearly states the athlete must depart the institution after the fall term or December 15, whichever comes first. "Departs" is the key here because many people have been saying "enters the portal" which isn't accurate. A guy could have entered the portal in October, but as long as they finished the semester or waited until December 15 to leave, they count.

The waiver applies to any student athlete who leaves and would have been eligible for the fall 2022 season, regardless of the reason. So, guys transferring to other schools obviously count, but so do guys leaving early for the NFL.

Here is the official NCAA Q&A regarding the waiver where my info came from. LINK

Bottom line is, this is unlikely to help us much, but it's a godsend for A&M and Alabama. They can sign whoever they want this year.

I feel like this is hopeful thinking and ATM can take as many as they like. I spoke to an aTm faithful today and they have plenty of room for more.

We do this every year and serveral schools just over sign. Bama took like 115 guys in a 4 year span

I’m 100% convinced that the ncaa won’t do shite

Every year we would talk about their restrictions and they sign 27-32 guys

So how many have transferred out of ATM? We already know they have 1 going in.

Let’s have the actual conversation rather than bitching at each other.
