He officially commits.
Not exactly surprising as we have limited spots and are focusing on other guys. However, talented prospect leaving the state. There seems to always be one or two a year that do that we don’t have room for.

Don't think he had a commitable offer from LSU

We havent been recruiting him for a while, staff offered on offense H-back type, he wasn't interested

This was pretty much expected with him. He never did have interest in LSU.

I know it's been discussed on here before but what is the deal with U-High kids not wanting to come to LSU?

We didnt really recruit any of the guys this year for starters...there has to be mutual interest
Harris was the only one with an offer, but we stopped recruiting him much pretty early on when he didnt want to play offense

He was not being actively recruited by LSU. LSU had backed off of him. He went to A&M but it was not simply his choice.

At least he didn't pick Bama.

And it’s not like these guys are committing to national programs, either ... Clemson, UGA, A&M
Can’t wait to catch a Co-Lin CC game this fall and see McClendon in action.

What position is he suppose to play at A&M? Good little player

Brooks > Constantin
Lee > Harris + Tongue
We had higher guys on the board, not sure what else to say.

LB, pretty much everyone was recruiting him for LB that was left. He plays WR/CB in high school though

Thank you
At least he didn't choose Bama
SEC classes are very strong this season, outside of Florida lol

How exactly do we not recruit the #7 athlete in the country when he has offers from A&M, Alabama, and Auburn? Sounds like a pretty good player to me.

If you went to school on LSU's campus from the time you were in Kindergarten(not saying that's how long he went there, but you get my point), wouldn't you be ready for a change of scenery?

He doesnt have a position. He plays WR/CB in high school and everyone is recruiting him at LB, we wanted him to workout a s aLB but he didn't want to, we offered him as an H-back but he wasn't interested. It was a pretty easy parting of ways after that.
We have some monster LBs this class already committed, and if he wasn't going to show us what he could do as a LB, there's no reason to try and get him. The only LB left we'd take is Dean. Once Lee jumps on board we're done at WR too, and Lee is basically a more polished version of Harris and wont have to switch to a position he never played in high school to get on the field.

Because we don’t have 50 scholarships.
