Which one is getting a RS? I think we're in a good position to have quite a few special teams contributors.

Kadron Boone: 6'1 190 lbs, 4*
James Wright: 6'2 180 lbs, 4*
Williams: 6'3 185, 3*

None of them are far off physically. We lost a few receivers.. and we've been running quite a bit of 4 and 5 WR sets.

The playing time is available for whichever steps up.

We have 5 scholarship WRs and are adding 4 more...that's not counting pass catching TE DeAngelo Peterson or Russell Shepard who might play some WR. There's nothhing you can say that will convince anyone we NEED to play all 4 freshman WRs.

I don't really mind them not redshirting, if it's true..

That means the coaches feel good about them making an immediate impact

The thing is it's not true. Everyone knows not all 4 of them will play this year. Since when did we suddenly start playing THAT many freshmen?

Based on an interview with a recruit (not yet enrolled as a student in LSU) you have inferred and concluded that our coaches (as a collective) are lying to recruits (as in many of them)!

There are many ways in which a statement could be misinterpreted
- he could have been promised playing time (as in special teams).
- the statement about WRs not being redshirted (if true) could have been made in jest to point out that we need WRs all the time.

AW's measurables, if true and accurate, are absurdly good...those olympic lift numbers are top notch for a WR his age, especially when compounded with his other movement in space numbers. I'm gonna trust Billy G on this one. I'd be more surprised to see Boone start ahead of him at this point.

Come on now Bird. I don't think every receiver was told this. Who says Fobbs is for sure a WR. Just can't make the claim you made.

Seems to me like they are planning on trying all them out.

My guess is that the staff guaranteed him the chance to compete for playing time, which they most likely do for all incoming frosh.

Oh stop. This is not the stuff they asked to stop. This is what a recruit said in an interview that the coaches are not redshirting any of the incoming WRs. That's what he said in specific. You don't have to be anything more than Captain Obvious to know the chance of that happening is hovering about 0% by about a millimeter. I just wish the coaches wouldn't make blind promises the know they'll have big time trouble keeping. The faxct is at least 1 or 2 of them will redshirt, like always.

There is no way the coaches would have told them that.

They probably said that if the kid is ready to compete and contribute to the team he will not redshirt. If the kid is not physically and mentally ready to compete he will redshirt.

This is why these types of interviews are dangerous because these kids do not have any media training and you have no idea what they are going to say.

If I was a parent of a recruit, there is no way I let them on camera to discuss their recruiting etc.

R Randle, the #1 receiver in the nation last year, only saw the field a handful of plays!

This is the best of the best and he barely saw the ball! We lose ONE starter and all of a sudden we are not gonna redshirt ANY of the 5 or so new recruits?

WAKE UP!!! You guys are just too dense to think before you type.

False. He played alot, he just caught only 12 passes. He was on the feild very often. To say he was on the feild for less than 5 plays last season is just plain moronic.

lol, thats kinda ironic that you wrote that, I'm sure you probably meant something different than what you wrote.

Yeah, he's a good fit for that position. The mismatch was obvious with his TD catches vs Arky and Bama. Wish we used our TEs more, because I think he could be one of the best college TEs in the country with a few more pounds on him.
