I know I bang on Bates and Fordham, but this kid is no Bates or Fordham. Williams is a player and will contribute at LSU. Nice pickup.

I'm guessing fobbs was asked to commit and didn't so we moved on to the next guy on the list. Just my guess though.

He looks like a VERY physical receiver. Nto sure how he's only a 2-3 star, but, good find for us. Obviously LSU has known about this kid for a while because he was at our camp.
Played BBall and track. Obviously this kid is an athlete.

I'd take this guy over Fobbs and Thomas who were our 2 other considersations here. He has a high bust but also a high boom potential. Say what you want but this kid is in the typical mold of an LSU WR....and he can jump high and run fast. He tore up one all-star game he was in (Max Emfinger). Is he the prospect we wanted over Davis, Hunter, Reed, Boone...etc? No. But he's much better than you're giving him credit for.

B.) don't follow recruiting except looking at Rivals 100 rankings.
The recruiting board talkeda bout Williams last summer I believe and he's great in track. I do believe people even posted pictures of him high or long jumping.
I think he could be very good. As someone said, Petrino saw potential enough to give im an offer and one thing he knows is talent I would say.
