He’s already quit on them once. Why would you waste time on him.

Do you know the circumstances surrounding his leaving the team last season? Me either.

Yeah, Patrick, pretty sure CIA-level clearance is required to access the documentation with that information, haha.

Honestly it’s incredible how tight of a lid folks have been able to keep on this. I remember thinking it would only be a matter of weeks before this information got out but that hasn’t been the case.

It makes me think that he had some legitimate mental health issues. If that was the case and he has gotten some help, then I would certainly like to see him return and get his life back on track.

It’s just weird considering he quit and was planning on going to Florida, a team we play every year. I’m cool with him coming back if he gets his shite figured out and is forced to earn his way back to a starter.

Sometimes we forget these are 18/19 tear old kids. Look at the drama last year. Sage was going to bana, maason going elsewhere, Gilbert leaving n now maybe coming back. Ricks to Ohio State. Let's just see who it plays out.

None of that is remotely close to this Arik drama.

So 2 uncommitted guys who had standard unsubstantiated recruitment speculation is somehow similar to a dude quitting, then entering the transfer portal, and now visiting with the team he was transferring from?

Is your brain broken?

Because he's immensely talented.

However, this might be a mercy thing more than football related. Sounds like he needs some stability.

Would you rather Arik in purple and gold or at Alabama, Florida, Georgia?
Betcha Saban would take him, if nothing else, just so he wouldn't have to play against him.
Boutte, Palmer, and Gilbert. How are you going to cover them.
Johnson can throw that little dinky pass he floated for a TD vs Florida, to Gilbert, any time he desires.

The minute he is qualified again and the 1 year free transfer without penalty is announced he’ll probably bolt again. But I hope he comes back and sticks with LSU

If he did do that then I would not be surprised if we blocked any transfer within the sec. can’t let one guy burn you twice and have a free pass the second time

Agreed... We have no standards, we have no morals, can you play football well? Okay we will over look everything else you have ever done to ensure you suit up for us. This kid quit on the team in the middle of the season and Im watching excuses fly about his mental health etc. Why does he deserve special treatment? Rewind a month ago when the kid was committed to Florida and the bashing was a full go on here. You guys on this board make LSU fans look like a bunch of bipolar women. The kid does not want to be here, we are his last resort and I for one do not care to see him suit up for my team. This is how locker rooms are destroyed.

Isn't his grades too bad for him to be able to play this season? I also thought that was one of the reasons why he left.

I agree. I would rather have him on my team, rather that on a team we might have to play. I think he signed with LSU because of Joe Brady's offense in 2019 with hopes that it would be the same in 2020, but was disappointed with what he found. I think the addition of DJ and Peetz lured him back to the good guys. I say give him a chance and if nothing else let him ride the pine at LSU until he convinces the coaches that he's all in, rather than allow him to become a weapon for another team to use against us.
