The kid will be dominant. It would be yet another enormous national boost if LSU signed Manning.

If lsu is his favorite school like in the book of Manning’s.... yes.

Good thing Kiffin continues to fail at any big school job he gets. I see no reason why he'd turn it around at Ole Miss.

I would think he will look at the O-Line that will protect him and what the receivers look like. How is Ole Miss looking in those departments?

Yeah, I can't imagine the Mannings would let a family member pick a low character guy like Kiffen. To the Mannings this is a business. They don't give a hoot about Tennessee, Ole Miss or LSU. They care about the choice that will springboard that kid to the NFL. Period!

That’s the exact comparison I was thinking of.

I see the kid going to Ole miss because of what his dad went thru never getting to play there

He only "failed" at one big school USC, which hasn't done any better since he left btw. Tennessee he was only there 1 year and they did improve and they were pretty salty he left. He hasn't gotten a big HC job since USC until now and has yet to coach a game so saying he continues to fail makes no sense at all

So he was the first Manning to get atrophy in college. Go Cupp!

Archie on the reasons his sons didn’t go to LSU:
People on the radio get on me a little bit saying I kept my boys from going to LSU, and that wasn't true. I let my kids make their own decisions, didn't influence them. They both visited LSU and they went to games almost every Saturday night, almost every home game. "When Curley (Hallman) was there, Peyton was convinced Josh Booty was going to LSU and he wasn't going the same place Josh was going. Eli was the same way with Brock Berlin. Of course, he didn't. They made visits. It wasn't an anti-LSU thing at all. I've lived in New Orleans 44 years. I've lived in Louisiana a lot longer than I lived in Mississippi. I have great LSU friends. It's fun. I'm not an LSU hater. I'm a strong Southeastern Conference guy.

I think Arch’s recruitment will be a pretty weird one. I think he will only give about 4-5 teams a look, and no more. LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Duke, and maybe a Georgia. I don’t think programs like Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St. etc. will have a shot here.
- Duke, only out of respect to Cutcliffe, who would be like 70 when Arch went there, and Duke is in no position to do anything as a football program. X
- Tennessee, again just a respect thing here for Peyton. Why go a few states over to be third best in the East, when you could stay closer and compete for Titles? Who knows Pruitt’s job status by 2023? X
- Georgia, some people have mentioned they have an outside shot here, but I don’t really get it that much. Sure it’s a good football program, but I don’t really see a scenario in the Manning’s sending Arch off to be at Georgia, especially when you put in the distance factor instead of staying at home and playing. Kirby is a good recruiter, but Georgia is still unproven offensively, and hasn’t had big game winning ability. X
- Ole Miss, I think it comes down to LSU, and Ole Miss. The only thing I worry about here is the Lane Kiffen factor. There’s a chance he could be on the hot seat in 2023 and nearly out the door. He could also have just reeled off a 9-3 season, and be convincing a say 5 * QB to continue the Manning tradition and make Ole Miss great again. You have the Cooper, Eli, and Arch factor here. Family school, continue the tradition. It’s also a little further, and LSU is in a much better position, and way further along than Ole Miss, and they say it’s Arch’s decision. X
- LSU, he could be playing football an hour away from home, right down the road. LSU is a premier top program in the country right now, coming off a National Title winning season. They now have an incredible offensive scheme, very QB friendly. Archie is extremely tight with Orgeron, and has been for quite awhile now. No official offers have been put out there, but LSU and O have been doing great things to build a relationship with Arch so far.
I think he’ll end up picking LSU when all is said and done. I think he’ll do it in a couple years from now.

They will no pressure him one single bit. People will pressure them to pressure him but it will not happen. All they will care about is that he goes somewhere where they care about him as a person. (Bama is out.) Lol.
Bebe definitely fits that bill, and they already like him, plus they could very easily go see all him games etc. LSU is a serious contender for Arch. (My dad will definitely roll over in his grave...again. My brother played at LSU. My dad hated LSU with a passion, particularly for how they treated Archie when had a broken arm. (He was our neighbor at student housing)

LSU, Clemson, and Georgia are all going to be big factors. I'm sure Ole Miss will be involved, but I'm not sure how likely that is to work out. Every major school in the country will try to get in there.

He is in the SEC west coaching ole miss. Just my opinion, but he zero chance of contending for anything meaningful.
