His good friend (verified) who goes to LSU and was full of information about recruitment said it was a real possibility at one point and Marcel was looking into it.
I haven't seen an update from him.

He is on another roster now and would transfer back into LSU. He wouldn't have to sit out I don't believe because of COVID, but I think he would count against the 25.
I am no expert though - so could be wrong

The language in the rules doesn't specifically address thie situation, but it does specifically mention transfers to 2 year colleges don't count if they transfer back to the original school. Indiana Tiger says this also applies to Brooks' situation. Since he's already been a counter once, he would not be again.
I'm a little skeptical since the rules specifically mentions 2 year schools, it seems to me like they're intentionally omitting transfers between 4 year schools. But, Indiana Tiger knows the rules much better than me.
