Commitment & When you go to Linebackers, nothing shows up? Are they getting ready to crash?
I mean he is not being reflected in our class #'s...

They have him listed as Safety.

24/7 is really struggling these days. Their rankings are way out in left field somewhere and they haven’t put out remotely as much content as on3 has.

oh ok. but it's still weird when you go to LB's ranking, no one shows up. does it for you?

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen LSU ranked this low with 18 commits

That's true, seems like a top 10 class would be a win right now, #5 seems the ceiling but there are some big fish left and I trust Kelly. I'd love to get a true game breaking RB to put behind our sudden loads of talent on the O line Kelly and Davis has turned around in record time. Campbell, Jones and Heard are all special and Frazier and Dellinger are also no joke. I hope Martinez is ready to take over at Center just because of his size/strength. If so we actually have some good experienced depth now

Agree with the comment, but believe part of it is that LSU is no longer going for the stars and instead making sure they have talent at all positions.
That said my statement doesn’t hold water at defensive tackle.

Dawshawn McBride is ranked anywhere from 3rd to 8th best safety on 3 different services. On Rivals he is ranked the 53rd safety. Now you know and I know, that do make no damn sense.
Ondre Evans is ranked anywhere from 11-20 at CB on 3 service. On 247 he is ranked 46th at his position. Again, makes no damn sense. He's ranked top 3 in the state by 3 services, but ranked 18th in the state by 247. Insanity.
Kolaj Kobbins on 3 services is ranked anywhere from 8th to 23rd at his position. 0n3 has him 46th at his position.
Joel Rogers is ranked 23rd in the state by Rivals while all 3 other services have him top 10
There are other vast deviations, but it just seems like there are vastly different opinions on several of our guys. 0n3 doesn't even rank our lone DL recruit in the top 100 of his position. He's 53 on 247, 28 on Rivals, and 13th on ESPN.
If some of these corrected themselves, that alone would jump LSU a couple spots.
I know others are mad at Kelly, but what I like that Kelly is doing is getting a lot of Louisiana athletes, very athletic, and he's going to build them. This is a depth class. This is a class that's going to look excellent in 2026 and 2027. They are still looking for OL and big time DL and looking at big time athletes on both sides or the ball as well. Kelly is a developer of talent. He got 9 kids drafted back in his 2021 NFL draft class and of the 6 drafted in the top 4 rounds, 3 of them were ranked 450th or worse coming out of high school.

The ranking services are money making ventures and I wonder how much that goes into their ratings, especially for those 101-500? I agree this is a depth class and there's always talent in Louisiana even if it isn't noticed by the services. It is by Kelly.

Everything you posted is easy enough to agree with and is certainly the rosey version of the class. It is a strange year with anamolies in the rankings that are dragging some rankings down. However there are also those that are being aided by one site or another where the high is the anomaly like Billiot(247 with the huge discrepancy having him 105 in the country) and the NC tackle who ON3 is supremely higher on than others. Boths industry rankings would differ significantly without the high anomaly, thus evening things out a bit. What it all says is that many in our class, as some have suggested, are questionable in regards to how good they really are as even the "experts" have huge discrepancies in how they see them. Some due to bad evals, some to no evals, some to politics(loud voice in the room). What it all concludes is that those that do have questions/concerns are somewhat validated in those since even the experts we lean on for such things seem to have concerns of their own. At least very few consensus opinions. To some that is a troubling sign. They nor you(just as an example) are more or less justified in their opinion. Both versions could easily be perceived with the information available. Seems to fall in line accordingly in the rankings to me. A class in the teens is a class in the teens. The same rankings are used for all. I'm quite sure that it's not only our commits with such discrepancies.
So I ask, if even the experts can't agree on our commits, doesn't it make sense that some of our fans wouldn't either? Yet they get shouted down or called negative for sharing an opinion the experts seem to agree with(the rankings are the rankings). 2 of the 3 seem to agree. So who's the anomaly in that situation?

I too wanted to mention some guys rankings being propped up by a single service, but I didn't want to make my post even longer.
The differences in some of those, especially Billiot, is the fact that people watched this kid at camp and at 7 on 7 tournament. Many did and many thought he was the best WR there by far. He's a kid still early in his development. He's a former Louisiana basketball standout that was just making his presence felt on teh football field. Remember Keon Coleman? Many were impressed with this kid, but even services still didn't see it. Lester Earl would die on the hill for that dude lol. Billiot was ranked when he was actually seen. Once he was seen at an event, he was ranked.
He literally only has two rankings since he was seen. For all we know, he could blow up because there is a spotlight on him now and he has his senior year to show out.
Colin Hurley is 2 years younger than his peers, yet is still a 4 star on every service, and reclassified. We'll see if his senior year gives him a boost.
Again, I like this class, and I see what BK is doing. And I see some of the reasons for the lower rankings and that doesn't bother me for how I perceive the class will do on the field for LSU.

I agree. I'm definitely taking the wait and see approach on this class, and not going to put out negative or positive views because I don't know. in 2 or 3 years it will reveal itself.

You have to watch the tape and follow the offers right now. Recruiting rankings at this time are always inaccurate. These will all correct themselves when these guys play their SR Year
