Sounds like a Delgado prospect to me
Did you miss the part where he's a top 5 prospect in the state that is committed to UNO?

He says that because the recruiting is done through high level travel ball like NOLA Baseball Club or Louisiana Knights, yet 90% of the media coverage is of high school.

My response was to illustrate that Harris isn't a Delgado recruit, and that information was already in the thread the guy didn't read.
But as far as LSU is concerned, for an in state pitcher to get much in the way of scholarship dollars, you pretty much have to be Aaron Nola or (potentially) Landon Marceaux. Most of the scholarship money goes to top of the line out of state pitchers.
It opens up the opportunity for that next tier of really good pitchers in state to get more money from the other schools in the state.
There just isn't enough money to spread around.

It wouldn't surprise me if these numbers are accurate considering Chalmette's schedule. They try to schedule good teams and at least during the tournament part of the season they played some decent teams. District is complete garbage. I watched this kid pitch in a tournament earlier this year and he definitely looks the part. From what I saw the fastball is sitting 88-92, but control and the lack of consistent secondary pitches is his downside.

Only problem is we're gonna be happy that we own the district and meanwhile not even be #32...

So what do you think about Mike Thomas. Good coach been around awhile pretty good success.

But our expectations are higher than what we've achieved and that comes with the facilities we built. I feel like our athletics should be something like the Central or Zachary of NOLA... Outside of Mitchell Robinson, our playoff record in all sports has been atrocious

The only reason I asked is bc I played for him for four years at Berwick lost in the semis my senior year on some freak baseball played that night vs Benton. Man was tough as nails on us and we get on him all the time about softening up now a days. He just told us he can’t be like he used to be bc how careful you have to be nowadays with the kids.

And this is not really Thomas's fault, but I wonder if we hired the best coach available when the job came open in '16, not knowing whom else applied. It seemed just a little convenient that he had history here, and it made sense that we always seemed to play Berwick and they were decent but never really great.
