What's everyone hearing about us signing another RB in this class? I know it's looking slim that we get Akers, but are we looking to pull an unknown guy or be content with only signing CEH?

I think we have just as good of a chance at Akers as anybody. Maybe I'm wrong... he hasn't revealed much.

He'll get plenty of PT as a freshman at LSU and could possibly be THE man as a sophomore if Guice has a breakout season as a junior.

I hope you're right. I've seen him linked with Ohio state, ole Miss, Fla state, LSU and several others.

Nobody knows what Akers is doing right now and we're not actively recruiting anyone else if we miss on him at the moment. We have a very favorable chart for Akers though if he comes in.

Fournette goes pro after this season

Akers backs up Guice for 1 season, Guice leaves after JR. season

Akers the main back his sophomore and junior seasons

I don't believe we're getting Cam Akers, it's very difficult getting Mississippi Boys without a Louisiana Connection, & I think in the end he's either a Buckeye or a Johnny Reb,i really hope that I'm wrong

Can't sleep on Nick Brossette...its just like were getting a new recruit because he basically redshirted last year...cant tell hw good he will be, but I see him as a bruiser with above average speed that will represent lsu nicely. If we get Akers that would be HUGE...but it will be hard to get him to leave the state at the end of the day...If he leaves I see us and Ohio state being rght up there...and you can't count Bama out smh.

Nothing will matter with Akers until January. That's how it is with Mississippi kids. What's interesting is that most other teams seem to consider us the dark horse in Cam's recruitment.

Both Saadhiq Charles and Myles Brennan moved after Hurrican Katrina and still have many ties to Louisiana.

You inadvertently proved his point.

St. Stanislaus is a boarding school. I have no idea where Myles Brennan actually lives. But Bay St. Louis seems like an odd place to relocate after Katrina. His grandfather owns nearly a dozen restaurants in New Orleans. So he definitely has ties to LA.

No he doesn't. Most Brennan restaurants are owned by the Ralph and Dickie Brennan groups.
