Another kid for 2024, and at a position of need: Ahmad Breaux from Ruston

Goes 6-4 and 235, plays DE, DT and TE. Really nice get-off and plays the run well - and above-average tackler in space as well.
Looks like he has a frame to carry a lot more than 235 pounds. Could grow into a defensive tackle.

If we're going to go by what we took this year as the baseline of what Kelly likes in a defensive lineman, which seems to be lean, athletic kids with expandable frames who run well and play with energy (Womack, Howard and Carpenter are all that to a T), then I would expect this kid to get on the radar at some point.

Is he being recruited by anyone? I’ve seen him play a few times, he’s a good looking player. At times takes over games.

I think he's more of a lber, kids more like 6'2, but very fast and working on getting faster. Young man is smart, respectful, and just a complete football player

Here's his 247 profile. Looks like Tech has offered and Duke had him up for a visit.
But the push hasn't begun for him yet.
Really at this point, the only guys you'll really see a lot of that for are the ones who've done the camp circuit as sophomores and juniors. And for LSU, obviously, that isn't going to be a whole lot of people since it's a relatively new staff who were really focused on catching up with the 2023 class.
You'll start to see a bunch of 2024 offers going out after today. I'm not necessarily saying Breaux would be one of them but it wouldn't be a huge surprise. He looks like the kind of kid who'd get a bunch of P5 offers and maybe one from us.

Good stuff.
Yeah I was wondering why I hadn’t heard his name until I saw him play this year. He had P5 written all over him.

We don’t want any left tackle projects. Let’s get the NFL-ready guys the way Georgia and Alabama do it.

bullshite. You want a mix of good now and high upside projects.
