Haven't seen it discussed here in detail but this is a pretty big deal in the recruiting world. I would anticipate subscription prices making a pretty big jump. But hopefully the overall product improves. Everyone knows the real experts in recruiting are on TD anyways.

Man when I was younger, I really paid attention to espn and thought they knew what they were doing. I thought Chris Leak was gonna be the best QB of all time...

The same guy co-founded Rivals and then split off and created 247. He then split off from 247 and created on3.

Rivals went to shite pretty quickly. 247 is trending in that direction, but is still a good product for now.

“But hopefully the overall product improves“

Seems to do the opposite when companies start buying the other out. They tend to get lazy due to no competition therefore the product goes to shite.

This is it. I have come to like ON3 better, but still like 247 better than anything else outside of those two. And I do think the more folks you have giving an honest perspective of high school athletes, the better. I'm not sure how much we get that as opposed to regurgitation of what one or two people report.

247 user interface is much better than on3. Thats the main reason I use it more often.

On3 having all the sites scores for each player (composite) is a good feature though.

That was the same for me, but I am getting used to ON3.

Also, for me, when I am at work, 247 thinks I am using AdBlocker, which limits me in a few things on their site. SO I use ON3 more due to that.

In a different view, ESPN moves into second place in the popular football recruiting industry.

Shannon Terry is a damn mastermind. Dude founds rivals, makes a ton of money, then leaves and founds 247 and makes a ton of money then leaves and founds On3 and makes a ton of money. Now he’s going out and buying his old company to basically own half the market so there’s only him and 247 for now. I’m gonna go ahead and guess that he either buys 247 or drives them into the ground within 5 years

247's layout is much better. not to mention "crystal ball's" cb's are much cooler than the "recruiting prediction machine" rpm's.

On3 has the better experts.
