No, don't get me wrong, this is great news, Like many I got the thread on the back end and never realized who started the thread. I can promise you regardless of the post, everyone is pumped about Dylan getting the #1 ranking.

It seems that some are not as excited about the announcement as one might have hoped. However, if the announcement does not excite you, think about how it helps LSU in recruiting. Perception is reality. LSU now OFFICALLY has the #1 recruit.

Of course it's great for lsu, its just not exciting (except for his family) this instant because it was already known. If i told you hey guess what lsu scheduled a cool nonconference opponent....its wisconsin and we play them in houston you would be like yeah brah we know.

In sales, there's a big difference between the saleman saying, "We think it's #1," and an outisde, third party confirming that it's #1.
People are attracted to winners. Winners want to play with winners. The announcement changes the sales pitch for LSU and the people involved. The pitch becomes more credible.
I thint the people involved will make the most of the improved sales pitch. I'm excited.
