Since this seems to be thread of the day.
The newest BOL update following the Sopsher visit doesnt read bad for us. Depth of their class may be an issue. They didnt sound real confident even hedging with a "lsu was trending before the visit" comment. We rock it next weekend and we may just pull him.
Also Christian Williams is out of their class and has had a run of cbs for LSU lead by Shea.
Thanks for the good news, Broseph Goebbels.

Is it a BAD thing that he was requesting more attention from LSU? If a chick I don't like is not calling, emailing or texting me, I'm not going to contact her and tell her I want more communication.
Ree.....we all know your not worried about chicks calling you back and just want the

ree, can we make a bet? If sophser comes here I’ll never bash you again.. but if he goes elsewhere, can you never post on the recruiting board again? It’s fun joking with other guys, but you are the most ignorant LSU fan
Tiger Ree and justustm2 restore my faith in the Tiger Rant.
Neither Tiger Ree nor I suggested that Ish or Lee were coming to LSU.
The entire point of ours that this thread has boiled down to is that Ish and Lee haven't strung LSU along to bait LSU into wasting time on them and they were Bama bound the whole time.
They aren't being dramatic, they are being the opposite.
if either one chooses not to attend LSU, it doesn't prove your point.

Am I the only person whose just ready for signing day to be over? One way or another just let it end. Let the kids play with their hats in the duffel bag game and the old people freak out when they don’t come to their school. I’ll be happy when we have real football to look forward to again.

You're a shitty poster way too often.

It would be nice wouldn't it?
But someone posted links to direct quotes from the coach of two players being recruited by LSU. Now an idiot or two who has bashed the LSU recruit relentlessly for months has to prove that they know more than the recuit's coach. Sad but true.
Then be the bigger person and not respond, be an adult.
This thread went to shite in a hurry.

While the CB's roll in for Christian Williams to LSU, they also roll in for Jay Ward to Kentucky. It seems we may have been notified that Williams intends to sign with us.

That's what it would seem. Very good news if true.

Could be a pretty damn good DB class...
Stingley
Brooks
Williams
Raydar
Flott
...maybe Hampton, too.
I see 3 safeties and 3 CB's.

A good and much needed DB class
Posted on 1/28/19 at 2:22 pm to PenguinPubes
Will be interesting to see what sort of DB numbers we take in 2020. We already have the #1 CB committed, we lead heavily for another top CB out of TX, and we're in a decent spot for another top CB also out of TX.
For safety, it seems we have at least a little bit of interest from one of the top national prospects out of MD, but that's about it, so far, for national prospects. The state is loaded with potential safety prospects, however.
I hope we we take 3 CB's and 1-2 safeties next class.
Edit: LA actually ins't very loaded at all at DB in 2020. Many of the ATH's that were listed as such have since been reclassified as WR's. The state has 4 WR's in the top 10. Joel Williams, who's #6 and still list as an ATH, might be a potential safety prospect.

More good news. That's assuming we want Williams more than Ward, which would make sense given the big difference in composites.

It also could mean that we do see Williams as a potential CB for us...many have been thinking that his skill set might be more suitable for safety. It's also been heavily speculated that LSU wants another CB in this class, although I think we're just fine with what we have.
I wonder if any of this has any bearing on Hampton.

Sopsher would have committed by now if he was that homesick
Lee wants to play offense it sounds like, still think he ends up on D if he wants quicker playing time at LSU

Jacoby Stevens is going to be a star!
I agree with you. He really came on late in the season. Seems to finally be clicking for this young man.

I've seen this a bunch about a number of recruits. This isn't true.
Believe it or not, some people like to take their time with major decisions. Its actually a smart thing to do. I'm not saying anyone is coming to LSU, just in general, this is a ridiculous take.
Did you read the article?

I recall reading that Hampton would probably be tried at S as well. It would certainly make sense to try one or two of these guys at S since we'll have signed 5 CBs if we land Williams and Hampton.
I can't help but wonder if the staff regrets letting Flott sign early. No knock against him as I'm sure he'll be great, but 5 CBs in one class is overkill if none work out at S. Then we have Brooks possibly moved to S, and Lee may end up there as well if we land him. That makes potentially 7 DBs in one class. If nothing else, we won't have another Fiesta Bowl mishap for the foreseeable future.
